Someone mentioned looking for a new chair in the other thread so I thought I'd ask about that too! Do you have a chair that you love?? I have a big office chair but really need something a little smaller. It has to swivel though!!

office chair here also - my space is set up as an L - with my computer desk on the short side and my sewing desk and scrapbook table on the long side so the chair moves back and forth. It's a bit creaky but...

I have an office chair, but I kind of wish it didn't have arms. They get in my way.
If I had any sewing talent, I'd make a pretty slipcover for it.

I stand and scrap, but I have a chair from Ikea that the cats find comfortable. It is shockingly hard to find a comfy chair that isn’t like as huge as a BarcaLounger though, isn’t it?

I have an office chair as well. I work from home a bit so got one that’s rated for 8 hours and it’s super comfortable.

I used to have a rolling chair that I loved. It was comfortable and cushy and the height could be adjusted. I feel more comfortable sitting up a bit higher. I prefer a view of whatever I'm working on to be higher up rather than across. It's been so long that I can't remember what happened to that chair. Now I'm just dragging in a chair from the dining room. At least it's padded.

I am struggling to find a good one. I had one but it takes up a lot of space. Found another, smaller one. It's pretty but not the most comfortable thing in the world. Now I need something compact, comfortable, with a fairly high adjustable height. Bonus points for pretty.
I found one at TJ Maxx but it was kind of pricey, so I thought I'd keep looking. I might regret that eventually, since that particular TJ Maxx is a state away, but I'll keep looking for now.

I found one that I like AND I used a $25 coupon so it was even less $$ than the sale price. Staples

I worked on old rickety dining room chairs from a retired dining room set for years. I was young, and broke then lol... I am still a little too frugal to want to spend 100+ on a chair yet...but I did find 2 different office chairs at my local goodwill for 20 each...so I got them. I feel pretty snazzy now

I have 3 desks and 3 chairs. Well, two office chairs and a wooden stool. The wooden stool is at my art table. I love it. Easy and quick to sit down and get up with no arms in the way. It's also easy to move to my sewing cabinet when I want to sit down and sew. Most of the time I stand though when I sew because I am usually sewing a quick piece of paper. If I get paint on the stool, no problem. That gives it character. The office chairs are nice too and work for how I use them. Here is my stool: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0029LHSGM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have a swivel office chair by my computer and a metal stool by my scrap desk. I tend to stand and lean more than sit when I scrap so the stool works great and I can slide it under my desk if I'm not using it.

I've been lucky, at the last two jobs I have had I have been able to snag some good office chairs. So currently I have one with no arms and very cushy.. I have an identical one in the garage with arms. I have always had chairs with arms..so trying out the one without.. and I don't miss the arms like I thought I would. Now I am wondering if I should keep it or throw in a garage sale... ummmmm

LOL I like it it's just too big and bulky for my little space. Yeah I have been lucky in that area.. they are bigger but they tend to be more sturdy than a cheapie from Target/Walmart. Funny story about 12 years ago I was working for an older guy who owned the first kitchen remodel store in Denver. (this was in the 1960s) when he closed the business he took ALL his furniture home and it was in his basement. I mention to him that I was looking for an office chair. Bless his heart, we go down to his basement and he says take your pick. Mind you these chairs are from 1960. They are awesome chairs. BUT they are like 100 pounds. OMG so heavy and the colors were so funny.. Just like appliances.. golden harvest, avocado green.. etc. I didn't have the heart to turn him down so I snagged a golden harvest chair. I lug it home and I swear I used that chair for 10 years. It was a pain in the butt but it was comfy. I tried to cover it but the way the chair was made so you couldn't cover it properly. So I dealt with the ugly color until these newer office chairs were available. But that chair still is going strong, my girlfriend took it to her house for her kids! HA.

I have (I think) seven rolling chairs, one of those flip/step stool wooden library chairs designed by Benjamin Franklin and a sewing stool with a storage compartment under the padded seat.
Four of the rolling chairs came from Archiver’s when they closed and honestly I don’t love them. I need to make slip covers for them so they match my studio better. I have a big ugly red bucket type office chair that DH’s dad bought for him when we moved into our house and he needed a desk. That one can’t be covered easily so it will just have to be ugly. I have that one at my desk because I can sit in it crosslegged with my dog in my lap when I work at the computer. I have what ought to be a nice leather office chair that I got cheap on clearance at Staples, but honestly I don’t love that one either. In my sewing area I have an old rolling chair that I got from my MIL’s house when she passed away. I did recover that one because the fabric on it was nasty and the foam stunk like cigarette smoke. It works, but I don’t sit in it all that often and it was free so I can’t complain.
I too wish I could find an awesome chair that has me sitting at the right height without my feet dangling off the floor, or without sitting so low that I feel like a kid sitting at the grownup table on Thanksgiving, LOL. The struggle is real! I’m short so I really need to get one of those footstool things for under the desk at some point but I just haven’t done it yet.
ETA: I love the library chair simply for the fact that it doubles as a step stool so I can reach stuff. The design is pure genius even if I don’t typically sit in it all that much.

My table is at standing height, but sometimes I like to scrap and sit and I use a bar stool. It is not very comfortable! I'd love to find one that is padded.

I just use one of the dining table chairs. It really isn’t that bad since I take a break every so often to watch TV or do the dishes or whatever.
