I am working on an office/craft room/laundry area in the finished part of my basement. I'm considering doing an accent wall with this stuff... Any thoughts? It looks like Target carries some as well as Home Depot and Anthropologie. Tips? Tricks? Run far, far away advice? :-)

My SIL used this in a rental apt and loved it. I am curious, myself - looking forward to seeing what others have to say.

I used a peel and stick border several years ago and found it works best on fairly smooth walls.

I have lived with wallpaper during the '60's, '70's & '80's and with boarder wallpaper in the late '90's. Not sure about the peel & stick but all I remember is that preparation of the wall is simply so important and does take a long time to prep the wall properly. Taking down wallpaper is a special kind of hell.

I have used it and was so happy with it. The one I bought wasn't square sheets, it was on a roll (I don't think they really had the squares sheets at that time). When people come over to visit, they really think it is tile. I've been so happy with it. Before (this was up when I moved in) After: I got it from Dail Decals

I helped my father wallpaper one wall in my parent's house about 3 months ago. We used traditional wall paper not the peel and stick type. Here's what I learned:
Traditional wall paper is more forgiving on wall surfaces than the peel and stick type. You have longer to adjust the wall paper (move it around) than the peel and stick type. It's a 2 person job when using traditional wall paper-one for the top near the ceiling and one for the bottom. It's really not difficult at all when using traditional wall paper-it just takes patience and having the right tools-which aren't many and can be found at any hardware store. Both my father and I are perfectionists so it took us a while because the ceiling was a slanted ceiling. If I were ever to do this in my home I would choose traditional wall paper. Apply the glue to the back of the wallpaper, not the wall.
