It just popped in my head... maybe there is some stores in Paris.. or one. LOL.. Would like to fit in my schedule if possible. I found a few art stores with some paper product but not specifically sb related. I will keep an eye out for just flat items that would work in a scrapbook!!!

When we were in Paris, I would walk thru the museum gift shops and look for decks of cards and anything else that could be used as ephemera. I found sets of postcards. There was a bookstore near the Opera House where I did find 12x12 paper!

The only one I knew of, Temple du Scrap has closed down.
Your best bet is keeping your eyes peeled everywhere for ephemera.

Still from the opposite side of France... I haven't brought back scrappy stuff from Paris in years. It doesn't travel well when you're a carry-on kind of person with over-the-shoulder bags. And Paris isn't a very scrappy city anyway (the price of rent is too high for this type of stores in a country where scrapbooking isn't very trendy or widespread). 1. I know there's a Rougier & Plé in the third arrondissement that used to carry scrapbook stuff (I'd assume they still have scrap paper in store since their website still offers it). However, they don't appear to carry the cool Euro and French brands (American brands + Toga and Artemio) so I'd skip this store! 2. Cultura stores normally carry cool French brand Kesi'Art. But they are not located in the centre of Paris. There's a Cultura in La Villette, on the outskirts of Paris (19th arrondissement). Probably not worth your time if you're only visiting for a short trip though. 3. La Petite Epicerie in the 4th arrondissement used to carry Kesi'Art stuff but it doesn't look like they're stocking anything recent. They only have a tiny little bit of scrapbook supplies left on their website. Not a good sign. Another one to skip. (sorry) 4. When are you in Paris? Version Scrap is France's big scrapbooking event with loads of vendors. It'll take place in Paris April 20-22. Many big (but not internationally known) French scrap stores and brands will be there: 4en Scrap, Chou & Flowers, La Fourmi Créative, Florilèges, Les Ateliers de Karine, etc. 5. Order in advance and get it delivered to a postal office (La Fourmi Créative has this option for 3.99€ or free if you order over 29.9€). You'll only need to queue in said postal office, make sure you have the tracking number with you and valid ID with photo. You can use your hotel/host's address for billing. This is the quickest and most efficient way to get scrap stuff in Paris, ironically. La Fourmi Créative has a bit of everything from France: SwirlCards (they've just announced they're closing, yikes), Kési'Art, Les Ateliers de Karine (the Frenchest of them all in term of style and design), Chou & Flowers and more. Don't hesitate to ask if you need recommendations or help with the website. Sorry I can't be of greater help. Paris is an expensive city with almost no scrapbook market. It's easier to order from a French scrap store (located elsewhere) and pick up your delivery.

Shoot.. I'll miss the event.. I won't be there until late May.. but I doubt I could have gone anyway since I am traveling with my 21 and 22 year old kids. I can see their faces now if I brought that up! HA.
I'll probably just end up picking up small ephemera all over the place.. which will be fun to keep my eyes open!
If I get a few moments I will check out those places sleepingbooty mentioned.. thanks a million!

I did 2- fifty page scrapbooks without visiting a scrap store in Paris. There is ephemera everywhere. There are also a lot of travel lines with the Eiffel Tower on them too.

Oh I am a sucker for any paper that is Paris themed... so pretty much go that covered if needed.. or shall I say when needed. Yeah my best bet is just finding ephemera as we go alone... Do you have your layouts posted anywhere? I would love to see them!

We spent a week in Paris and went to all the touristy things, but I really ended up loving the architecture. I took so many photos of buildings (not normally my thing). Remember to take close ups of cool looking things. You can turn the pictures themselves into ephemera looking embellishments. I also take pictures of signs of things to use as titles. Paris also lends itself to great black and white photos (or sepia colored photos). We were there in 2005 and I really want to go back.

Beautiful layouts and photos, 950nancy ! Oh, and I almost forgot to add my 2 cents worth. Yes, there is definitely lots of ephemera to collect. Maybe the English bookstore near the Louvre is still there? They had interesting stationery items as I recall.

Some things I used on my Europe pages - shopping bags. I cut them up and used them as background paper. Shopping receipts and tags from purchases, candy wrappers, maps, flyers, brochures, and then things like holy cards from churches, of course postcards, and my favorite was to take close ups of signs and store fronts.

I did these in 2005 (before I implemented the more is more technique), but on one I did the map of the city with buttons and twine leading to the matching picture, another one was the Eiffel Tower in the same frame with different colors, and the other one was just of some of my favorite buildings. I was big into typing out my journaling on opaque paper and putting it over a photo. Thanks for sharing.. I love the map idea!!! Very cute pages!

Lol it worked! Haven’t posted a picture in a while. I agree that there are so many Paris paper and embellishments and I have bought them all. I need another trip🙂 l'm not sure how I ended up adding another post to mine. Not good at this

I think my favorite activity is trying to find "scrapbooking" stuff in other countries. Anyway, I wrote a blog post about Paris shops a couple years back, sorry photos are no longer linked. My favorite stuff ended up being from the last place I mentioned, the bookstore, L’Ecume des Pages, that carried the Letterbox Paris stuff. But my tips are to search for stationery stores and book stores. And of course any of the museum gift shops, sometimes you can go in the shop without even going thru the museum/monument. thepapergoddess.wordpress.com/2016/07/01/paper-shopping-in-paris-stationery-stores/

workingclassdog I wish I could help you, but I haven't been to Paris in years and the places I went to have closed. I just didn't want you to think I was ignoring your post or keeping all the good stuff to myself. ETA: which only makes sense if you know I'm French, right?

workingclassdog , collect paper maps, too. You can use them as backgrounds, or accent patterned papers. ETA: I just realized I stopped reading too early when I posted. I see I wasn’t the only one with the map idea. LOL

My kids will never know I have this in the back of my head!! HAHAHA

For stationary and other hack-worty paper goods for your layouts, the magic word in France is papeterie (papery). I recommend keeping an eye open for them on the rue Pont Louis Philippe in the Marais when you're touristing around Paris. There are several gorgeous ones there. Fine French paper art at its best.
Here's a video I found of a personal fave, Mélodies Graphiques.

I have asked one relative if I could have a few things delivered to their house for my visit in August but I haven't heard back yet.
