This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . There are no prizes for this challenge, just a chance to enjoy the works of other Pokey Peas Refugees. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

I will try to stay in touch, but Angie's computer is a Mac and I always seem to lose what I am doing on it. Good luck to those who are starting the Team Challenges this month. It sounds like fun.

Happy Easter Eve!
Had some sadness today. Don took care of the house yesterday evening so I could scrapbook. Unfortunately, one of our new baby chicks became ill. Don and the kids tried to nurse it, feeding it with an eye dropper every couple of hours and holding it. I didn't expect it to last all day to be honest. I stopped working and went to bed around 12:30 but set my alarm for 2am so I could relieve Don. By 3:30am, the chick gave up it's life while I was holding it. I felt so bad for the kids, but ds seemed to be ok, and dd although sad, expected it.
Had some happiness today too. I filled a rubbermaid bin with water for the 4 little ducklings to swim in. They were so happy and had so much fun. They were so cute too. DD, who had a horrible night last night, had a turn around in the early afternoon. And has been doing good since. I live for these short intermissions of good. And I finished a double page layout bringing my Calvinball layout total to 81~!! I met my 80 goal. Hurray! Oh, and we dyed our eggs. Our eggs are various shades of brown and light blue. I was a bit apprehensive, but the brown's actually seemed to make the best blue, green, and orange eggs I've ever seen.
I will be up early, to put together the plastic April Fool Day eggs for hunting and to get the baskets together. Then the day will start. So I will wish everyone a very Happy Easter now! I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with love and family and laughs.
Happy Easter.

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter. Ours was really quiet. Talked to kids and grandkids on the phone and facetime, but no one was able to come to the farm this holiday. We had supper Good Friday and again on Easter Sunday with dh's sister's family. Ate too much. Laughed a lot. Played some games of Canasta. Calvinball is winding down. It was extended until Wednesday to allow people to finish up any last projects. April is starting with a bang over here with a bunch of new challenges, including the Team Challenge that some of us Pokeys are part of. My team needed a few points, and I thought I could double dip with Calvinball, so I put together a quick page today: Choose happiness by Gramma Dee, on Flickr The other crafty thing that is starting up Tuesday is the 100 Days Project. I hope to just play with something crafty every day. I may use some of my creations, or parts of them on LO's or cards, but this project is just to enjoy PLAYING with my art supplies. Anyway, wishing you all a wonderful week and a fantastic month of April!

Greetings Pokeys! haven't been scrapping or posting much lately...haven't quite got back into the swing of things since my stay in Oklahoma. Dd is still just kind of stable...she was able to make the trip to Tuscon to see her son's baptism last week and is on her way home now. Her dd's wedding in May 19, so hope she can get through that, too. scrapincin hope you are feeling better! woodysbetty- been seeing your work and posts and enjoying nylene- hope your are enjoying your trip grammadee- enjoying seeing all your activities lisadv- sounds like you all had a fun Easter except for the poor chick. Some of my grands were here and they talked me into putting money in those plastic eggs. kellyr21 We are getting some of that fantastic California weather here in the desert this week. misliz love your layout for the challenge. I have a similiar project I made with cloth in my prescrapbooking days that I framed and use for valentines day. justjac glad to hear your report on WW. I've done well with it in the past....need a redo! made a ressurction garden with the grands_ We had 4 grandsons for Easter and everyone had fun. Took me a couple of days to clean and find all the surprises they left me, but I'm caught up now and thinking I should start planning our trip to Florida next month for dgd wedding. This is our 1st grand to get married. Dh is officiating and we have a big house rented for everyone on the ocean. Maybe I can't get into scrapping the pics I have now because I'm waiting for those. Got a map printed (20 hours 30 min) and a price on round trip tickets, so will see if dh wants to talk about that when he gets home from work. We like road trips but don't have a clue where to stop. We've been down that road several times and I'm sure we can find something new to stop and do if we put a little effort into it. Happy April to everyone!

scrapincin- Oh, thank you Kellie for telling us. Let your mom know I am cheering and praying for her and your whole family. Take care! Hey ladies, it is so hard to hear one of our peas is sick but I know we will send her our support. We had a nice Easter weekend with some fam. Hope you all enjoyed yourselves too. I will be working on several crafts this week like cards and art. I will share some of my art soon. I am learning to paint flowers. I found an artist on YouTube I like and just watch her videos and try to do step my step her design. It has been fun learning something new. Waving hello to you all!

scrapincin I’m so glad you are on the mend! Happy belated Easter everyone. DH and I left for my mom’s on Friday and returned home Sunday. The whole family was there (mom, brother, sil, 2 nieces, sister, DH, me, and my cousin.) I fell off the Weights Watchers bandwagon and ate a ton of chocolate but I’m back at it. I’m on holidays this week. I’m trying a few new recipes and hoping to get crafty, but I also scheduled a bunch of appointments: hair, nails, dietician. I’m off for a girls weekend in Edmonton Saturday & Sunday. I have been reading your news. Just not commenting. Thanks for being such a warm welcoming group.

justjac, glad you had a good Easter and are getting a break this week. I’ve felt poorly the last 2 days. I don’t know what it was, but I had NO energy. Tuesday I could not get warm even after several hours under the electric blanket in high. But I had no fever. Yesterday was even worse for no energy. I couldn’t stand for extra long amounts of time. To cook I’d take my items to the kitchen table so I could sit. Today has been better, but still not 100%. I made it through several hours before I needed sit. I was wondering if lack of sleep could do that. ? Because otherwise I don’t feel bad. Tomorrow is our anniversary. After the washer and dryer are installed, we’re going to go out for a bit. Okay I’m off. We’re going to play a game

Hoping you are continuing to feel better, scrapincin. I keep checking in to see if we have heard from you. Hope you are having a great break, justjac, and that you and the girls have a great weekend in the city. Trav is playing in a charity hockey tourney in Saskatoon on the weekend, and dh and I might drive up to watch. I guess there are some former NHL guys playing on the teams. Look after yourself, LisaDV. We can't have any more Pokeys on the disabled list! Your symptoms sound a lot like dd's when she is most affected by her autoimmune condition. Do you have a way to measure blood sugar &/or blood pressure? Looking forward to seeing your art, kellyr21. Love your resurrection garden, @elaynef. What a lovely project. Have been loving all your pages, msliz. You are on fire this week! I have been playing around with my art media for the 100 Days Project in between working on my taxes. Yesterday I played with water colour pencil crayons; today it was oxide inks. Not sure what I will pull out for tomorrow: thinking either gelatos or mica crystals or pigment powders. I have so many of these products and really have no idea how to use them. When something turns out well it is indeed a happy accident.

Hope you feel better soon.so glad you're getting your laundry back. That would do it for me! Scrapincin, hope you're continuing to improve. I sent you a card. Msliz, I don't know what I'm going to wear to the wedding. It's in the backyard on the ocean. I'm going to be helping with cooking, (barbeque) etc, so I'm thinking I will wear an apron! It's just family so not a major concern. I got out my summer clothes yesterday and have some things I think will work. The bride says she doesn't care what I wear.

Just a note before I head off with dh for a two day road trip. One of our ds's is playing hockey today in the Hockey Heroes Weekend. It is put on by the Canadian Heart & Stroke foundation. "Regular" guys get to play with former NHL stars. His employer is sponsoring a team, all team members have been fundraising for the cause and the employer is matching their donations. We will drive down today, watch one of the games, then stay the night, have breakfast at the rink, watch another game and then drive home. Hoping it will be like the good ol days watching our kids play hockey. I haven't watched this one play for 22 years! Hoping to hear from scrapincin that all is well. Safe travels, nylene and justjac. Hope you are feeling better LisaDV. And wishing all the other Pokeys a wonderful weekend. Good to hear from you, woodysbetty. Are you enjoying all the new challenges popping up this month? @elaynef, will you be playing along? You don't need to be a team member to take on the challenges: just post in the challenge thread. Anyway, dh is pacing, ready to get on the road. See you on the flip side!

grammadee , that sounds like so much fun. Not just for you, but for your ds too. Have a safe and fun trip. @elaynef , I was thinking just stress and lack of sleep over the last few months finally caught up with me. I just didn't know if that could manifest that way. I loved your garden as well. You are very clever. msliz , when's your next crop? Are you getting any snow? We had some this week and it was mostly gone except in some spots in the wooded areas. kellyr21 , I can't wait to see your wonderful art. nylene , I hope you are having a great trip. scrapincin , I hope you are continuing to heal. Hugs & prayers. Waving hello to justjac and woodysbetty ! Don & I woke to a lot of snow yesterday and decided to just do a local eatery for lunch to celebrate our anniversary. And then the washer & dryer did not get installed. The guy who ordered it had put given me a list with everything I needed for the w/d, including the stack kit SKU. When he placed the order, he left the stack kit off. So they could not deliver. boo. Don had just finished the grouting the night before and was excited to be able to seal it before delivery though. He'll probably do that today. Since we had to go get the stack kit, we decided to brave the weather and run to the big town and hit a couple of other stores. We were having lunch, when Logan called to ask where something was and let us know Gabriella had fallen on the stairs and hurt her elbow. She said it was really bad. So we left and went home without the errands ran, but at least had lunch together. Luckily, nothing was broken, just a bad hurting. After a couple of hours of resting it, she was using it to push me around. Today, my plan is to spend time in my craft room. So I'm very excited. Maybe I'll get some points for the April Team challenge.

scrapincin- Oh Cindy, so glad to hear you are back home. My prayers are still with you and your family. Take care of yourself and enjoy being spoiled by your lovely family. Sending you a hug! Hey everyone! We are having a relaxing weekend here. Not much to say. I hope to get back to arts & crafts this week. LisaDV- I hope you are feeling better. Our bodies are so interesting. They just get tired when we didn't expect it. A little frustrating but I am learning to just rest and relax. I hope that when they get that washer/dryer finished you will be much better. Hang in there! grammadee- Your trip sounds fun. I hope the team has fun too.
