welcome to April scrappy peas!  first off, if you have not done your homework, please visit this thread before reading any further.NO PEEKING! Grow a garden challenge

Type of Garden (pick one)
A. Salsa Garden = create your own background from stamping, mixed media, or paper scraps and use only 1 photo
B. Herb Garden = solid paper only and use 2 photos
C. Flower Garden = patterned paper only and use 3 photos
D. Vegetable Garden = solid and patterned paper and use 4 or more photos
Planting (pick one)
A. plant seeds early indoors, then set out seedlings when weather permits = create your own layout design
B. plant seeds late, directly in the garden = scraplift a pea! Choose a LO from the gallery or any challenge thread. Please either link us up or add a photo of your chosen LO.
C. go buy decent size plants and put them out whenever = use a sketch (again, show us the sketch you used)
What will you plant? (as many as you want)
A. tomatoes = die cuts
B. peppers = chipboard
C. onions = enamel dots
D. basil = tags
E. oregano = stickers
F. cilantro = wood veneer
G. petunias = flowers
H. roses = the color pink
I. daisies = the color yellow
J. beans = ribbon/washi
K. squash = punches
L. lettuce = lace or trim
M. choose your own = something else not on this list

Marking my spot and adding my list so I can remember what I need to work with. I'm pleased to say this is not quite as scary as it could have been.

I thought this was going to be much worse too...LOL Here are my choices from the other thread Flower Garden Buy Plants Petunias Roses Daisies My Choice stinkerbelle - I just have a quick question. We can ONLY use these items or we can we use other things as long as we use what's on the list? In my case, I can only use patterned paper so no cardstock but can I use colors other than pink & yellow? Thanks |

Okay from my list:

Decent size plant: Use a Sketch
Basil: Tags
Cilantro: Wood Veneer
My choice: something not listed ...
It will hard not use PP...yikes!!

So here are my choices: Solid + patterned and 4+ photos Scraplift a Pea die cuts enamel dots ribbon/washi lace or trim choose your own one added ingredient Now I need to find a Pea LO that has all these elements... Okay: here is the LO I want to scraplift. Done by DawnMcD. This is great. I'm marking my spot too, so I can come back and add my layout later. I chose: B. herb garden - solid paper, 2 photos C. plant them whenever - use a sketch, show the sketch and D. basil - tags, E. oregano - stickers, and M. choose your own ETA: Here's the sketch:  I took some liberties with the layout, but it's all for fun anyway. The solid paper ended up being tone on tone, and I folded the tags under and made them flags. But the little metal charm is actually a sticker!  ETA a second page. The title page goes on the right side.  |

okay here's what I got, and my layout. thanks! I have tons of random one-off photos that I couldn't scrap, and then i finally said to myself "you CAN scrap them!!" lol. I just decided to do a bunch of "random photos" layouts and to heck with it!

woodysbetty seriously, just 2 weeks! I love those pandas, so frikken cute, a great page hun! Wow stinkerbelle great work, love your LO! Great use of the flowers embellishments and those pictures, cool flowers! mikklynn you page is gorgeous!!! Love that pop of turquoise and your papers are lush! Great LO I just thought I had this challenge done. Turns out all I did was follow the first two criteria and I totally forgot all the other things like diecuts, chipboard, enamel dots, something yellow, punches and using my own thing. So basically I've just done a scraplift. And I can't add all the other bits to it cause I love it how it is! So I'm sure there's a scraplift challenge, I'm off to look lol!
