What is the best embossing powder for fine detail stamps? I was trying to heat emboss a small stamp last night and it just didn’t have the crisp results I was hoping for. I think I was using regular white Hero Arts embossing powder, but it’s been in the tub for so long I’m really not sure. I need to get a couple for super fine detail. What works best?

hoping to find some recommendations, too. I have been happy with my Close to My Heart Detail fine clear ep. I stamp in colour then immediately apply this. But the little jar is running low, and I don't have a CTMH rep any more. Has anyone used the WOW ep's? I had heard they were very crisp? Looks like they have some "super fine" ones. Also have not tried these, but Taylored Expressions is launching a line of embossing powders this month. Thinking since most of their business is stamps and dies that these may be a good fit?

grammadee I did a search this morning and it seems that Ranger Super Fine embossing powder or Hero Arts Ultra Fine get good reviews. I may even have a Super Fine Ranger one at home, but not in white. I have a few WOW embossing powders, but again, not super/ultra fine so I can't comment. They're not pricey so I may just pick up one of each and see which one I like best!

I just got Ranger super fine white and I really like it. All of my other fine ep is old stuff and I haven't tried it in a while.

I use Filigree powder as well and have had good results with it.

Haven't personally tried it, but I've also heard the Gina K fine embossing powder is great.

I have some older detail embossing powders and by older I mean practically antique. I haven’t used them in a while and I’m afraid they might discolor was or clump up. I’ll probably try the Ranger ones since I’ve had good luck with their products. Judikins powders are good but they don’t catty them at the online stores where I shop. I usually get them at conventions.

Like many I’ve had good luck with Ranger & Hero detail white powders. Recently got some Nuvo Galcier White and have been pleased with the results.
