I am planning on attending CKC Lancaster and was looking at the class list. Has anyone taken any of the classes at any of the other CKC's in other cities this year? If so what were your thoughts? I am looking at a couple offered by Its Cheaper than Therapy in particular.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

We don't have CKC here, but I've taken classes at Expo. I like to take the ones that give me swag for my money in addition to learning a new technique!

I will also be at CKC Lancaster but I do not take classes. I only shop both days all day. At my first one years ago I took a class with Lisa B that was a very messy paint class with not enough supplies so we had to pass things around.
One of my friends takes lots of classes. I will see her Friday night and ask if she recommends any.

I have taken classes only from Heartfelt Creations. One reason I like their classes is that they not only teach some great techniques, but they also give you a coupon for a free $20 stamp set. Since their classes are about $30, it means I get the class and project for about $10. I love their stamps, especially the ones for making 3D flowers. No other vendor offers that much bang for your buck. Heartfelt Creations classes tend to be fast paced and geared toward intermediate skill level scrappers/stampers, but they offer card classes, mini album classes, and sometimes layout classes. They also fill up fast. The card classes are better for beginners, but they give you enough that you can finish the projects at home, regardless of what class you take.

I took 4 classes at the Scrapbook Expo & I think some of them are offered at CKC as well.
Scrapbooking: Mixing & Matching Paper Collections - Nicole Petersen - This was an actual scrapbooking class which was fun! We made 2 pages in class but you get 3 full Jillibean Soup collections along with embellishments & a stamp set so the class kit alone is worth the cost imo! This class showed me some cute ways to use a ton of different pattern papers on layouts without it looking too crazy! I think these techniques would be great for using up a lot of scraps as well. I love Nicole's classes & have taken many others in the past.
Yupo Paper Pure Magic - Nicole Petersen - Fun class where we learned techniques with Alcohol Inks & Yupo Paper. We received a 3"x5" Gelli plate & 10 sheets of Yupo paper along with 4 Alcohol Inks to keep. Super hands-on just playing with the inks & learning how the react with different techniques. I've since used a few of the backgrounds we made to make some cards.
Family Pictures Eat, Drink & Picnic Mini Album class - Pine Cone Press - We made a cute mini album that looked like a picnic basket using Authentique papers. This is one of those classes where you have highly detailed instructions so you can follow along or finish the project at home with no problem. I thought the album was really cute once it was finished & something a bit different from the usual mini albums. We did not come close to finishing in class.
G45 Enjoy The Little Things Mini Album class - Pine Cone Press - Another mini album with Graphic 45 papers - 6x6 chunky mini album. The papers have a Parisian Bakery feel & I wasn't too into that but the B-sides were nice & I was able to make my album using the B-sides for most of my pages. Again - highly detailed instructions so I could finish at home. No new techniques learned - just a nice mini album.
I've also taken many Heartfelt Creations classes in the past & I also love that you get a free stamp set of your choosing for taking the class. I will likely take another one of their classes in June when CKC (GASC) comes to Arlington, TX.
Hope these help you decide what to take!!

I took 2 heartfelt creations class. I took the wildwood cottage mini album class and the frosty winters eve class. I also took a watercolor technique class which was a bust for me. We did get 3 spectrum noir sparkle markers though. The other one was stamplistc 54. That one I liked but there was no store coupon.

They are not all done yet I need to finish these up and there is one more I haven't assembled yet.
