Wow!! that went fast. I am plugging away. Right before I go to bed, I spend about 15 minutes or so looking through pictures to spark some memory to share. I've been posting everything on Instagram..this is the link to the 100 day project posts: www.instagram.com/explore/tags/czremembers/

I'm plugging away at it. The last couple of days I've left it to the end of the day because I've been busy with other projects, but I still picked up my white pen and did some doodles, even if they weren't very good. I'll probably get back to pasting in ephemera over the next few days but I'm glad I tried some doodling. I also want to add some stamped elements into the book, especially my favorite Helen Dardik/Waffle Flower stamps that I ordered from England. My project is here linkSetting a recurring reminder in my phone for 5pm has been helping on my busier days - I still time to get something done before dinner and while there's light to photograph it.

I'm up to date through yesterday. Although I have spent hours in my craft room today, I don't have a photo. Yet. Hopefully, the mess on my desk will morph into something before the day is over. I have to say I'm really enjoying the process. And I'm using some dies and stamps for the first time. We won't say how long some of them have been sitting in my stash. If you have an Instagram account, I think I'm now following you. If not, please let me know. The inspiration is great! Here's a link to my account if you'd like to take a look at what I've been doing: www.instagram.com/pdoyle2178/

I'm taking a ton of photos playing around with my new camera. I am printing them out each weekend with a coupon from Walgreen s. Next I want to find some good apps for photos. Does anyone have a photo app to recommend?

Played around with watercolour paints yesterday. Ended up putting together a scrapbook page with one of them, but I'm attaching a photo of one of the panels I came up with. Attachments:

I am half-heartedly working on my brush lettering. The good news is that when I picked up the brush marker yesterday, somehow the angle and grip were just right, and the lettering started to flow a little better. This is the biggest struggle I’ve had as a leftie, much more so than learning calligraphy. There may be light at the end of the tunnel...

This is the biggest struggle I’ve had as a leftie, much more so than learning calligraphy. There may be light at the end of the tunnel... Keep at it! It will get easier, I'm sure. Muscle memory is an amazing thing. Eventually things will click into place and the process will get easier. Lettering is really ideal for a 100 day practice - if you keep at it you're all-but-guaranteed to get so much better at it.

I left my page until the last minute last night, when daylight was all but gone. But I did something I've been looking forward to doing that I hadn't gotten around to yet -- stamping on leftover inkjet-printable sticker paper. I use the stickers for my etsy shipping labels, but it's just plain white paper with sticker backing, so I often save the scraps. They're easy to stamp on to add to journals/planner pages. I used a couple of my absolute favorite stamps by Helen Dardik for Waffle Flower, which look awesome in basic black ink. (The artist hand draws these characters on her envelopes when she ships out mail, just with a sharpie. They're amazing! I'm so glad she made some of them into stamps so I get to borrow her style!!) A couple of quick presses in my stamp platform to get a nice black image, some loose fussy cutting, and these guys were ready to stick into my journal on random pages linky Doing this reminded me how much I ADORE these stamps, some of which are still new in their packaging. I have to make some birthday cards for animal lover friends soon, so I've decided to play around with these stamps to make something really cool for them. Like Elise Cripe said in her Stories yesterday about the 100days project, the more you ACT on your ideas and make stuff, the more ideas you'll have for other stuff to make. I have too many good ideas lying around at the moment and I really need to take time to actually DO them.

I have been playing with stamps and water colour, but have nothing really to post here. I have some pieces I hope to put into my Carpe Diem album. I am taking the album with me when I go to visit the dgk's this upcoming weekend, and also a little go bag with water colour crayons, some paints, pencils, pens, and some brushes and a Bristol paper pad. Will throw some 2 sided tape in there as well in case I decide I just want to scrap what I have on the album pages. Hoping everyone is having at least a little play time. I saw on another thread that you were "dropping out", LisaDV, even though you are doing something creative every day. That doesn't sound like dropping out to me. No need to share every day. Just check in from time to time to let us know what you have been playing with.

You are so smart, grammadee. I'll do that On instagram, we post daily. Well, I just can't remember to take pictures daily. And my 10 minutes/day of scrap time makes a page in about a week, maybe less. I don't want to post photos of supply kits, then supplies picked out with the photo(s), then various papers cut down, then ... actually that sounds kind of interesting. I should do that. i still won't remember to take photos though.

I'm trying not to feel bad about only spending 10 minutes on my project most days. I know 10 minutes every day will add up to a lot more in the end. One day all I managed to do was stick down a die cut and draw a heart on it + write the date. But still, I've added something to my journal every day and that's pretty cool. Having to do it every day is pushing me to try different things, even if only to get it done as quickly as possible.
