I am trying to find a circle punch to make door hangers... having trouble finding one that will leave enough paper at the top to be sturdy (and not look ridiculous). I have to do quite a few and would rather not hassle with a circle cutter and trying to line it up every time. From pics online, it looks like this one will punch pretty far in on the paper compared to the one I already have. Anyone have this punch and can tell me for sure? I found 3 different answers in the questions on Amazon, but I trust the peas more! this is the punch: www.scrapbook.com/store/ek-54-30151.html?t12-13=ek+success&t2=punches

I think I have it or the Martha Stewart one. Never used it. No surprise there!

I thought I had the 2" punch, but it is 1 1/4". I punched out a circle and there's a half inch space. Looking at the link you posted, it looks to be the same distance for 2". Not sure if that helps or not.

I have a bunch of EK Success punches. The one I have that is closest to that punch is called Starburst. It is a 2 inch shape also. It is 1/2 inch from the edge of the paper. If you needed it to be sturdier than one piece of paper, you could double up the paper or perhaps cut an additional piece to back around the circle. If you have a cutting machine, I know several of the companies sell door hanger images. Good luck.

I do have a silhouette, but wanted something a little simpler to set up assembly line style for my non-crafty volunteers to help make.

I only have 5 punches but that 2" circle is actually one of them!
I measure it as just under 3/4" (11/16ths to be precise) from the edge of the paper.

Thanks joblackford! So I just went and pulled the sample one I had made using my old CM circle cutters... I had just sort of eyeballed it when I cut the circle, and it is exactly 11/16" from the edge 😂 Guess that is the punch I need!

I would suggest using a die. Make an alignment template to expedite the process, and punch out multiple hangers. I haven't seen a "punch anywhere" circle larger than 1½".
