So I have been pretty good about discretionary spending the last few weeks. And haven't ordered anything on line since before Christmas. Did drop a few bucks at the LSS, but it was--for the most part--for stuff I really needed, like glue and cardstock. So--for me--I have been pretty careful with putting $$$'s where my fun is. But a few events have just opened up my wallet.
1. I found out yesterday that I owe a lot LESS for my annual income taxes as I thought (no income from my small business, so no write offs, so I really had no idea what it would cost me for my pension income plus retirement savings withdrawals).
2. This morning I ordered, for myself and a friend, some Karen Burniston dies. Have been drooling over them for months, and she had a 2 day sale, so we HAD to order...
3. Got an email this morning from Taylored Expressions introducing some of their products designed to use with the Minc. Have had my Minc for a a couple of months and am still trying to find the perfect products to use with it. So of course I NEEDED that stuff. Decided to place just one more on line order...
4. And while I was on the TE site I saw they have ALL the new Oxide inks as a set. Now I swore that I would not let myself collect all of them. But I have played with the ones I have and really like the few things I have learned how to do with them, so...
So you know what happens if you Give a Mouse a Cookie. But do we really know where it stops If You Give a Pea a Credit Card? And permission to use it???
Help me!!!!

Help you? We're only good for helping you spend it Honestly though, you've been so busy crafting like crazy this whole year, I think you're one of just two handfuls of RefuPeas who should be buying new supplies. How many cards and layouts for 2018? Treat yourself

My theory of spending money has two parts to it. #1. Am I spending any money that should be put into the household or savings? No? Then onto number 2. Will I actually use what I am buying? If so, I purchase what I want. My husband bought a huge speed boat and just the docking fees per month are more than what I spend per month on scrapping. I won't even mention how much it costs to fill a 50 gallon tank at marine prices. No guilt.
ETA: I may or may not have purchased a Silhouette for my son's girlfriend for her birthday/graduation. She loves to make homemade gifts for her friends getting married and I thought it was the perfect gift.

It's okay! I give you permission to spend. Not that you need it from me! I spent $19.50 on ONE stamp yesterday, BUT my birthday is soon, I know I'll use it dozens of times, and tomorrow is the Scrapbook Expo.

Shop, shop, shop, shop, can you hear the chant! Of course you really need those Oxide Inks and more dies. So if you get them, I will rationalize that I need them too. We really are good enablers!
