This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . There are no prizes for this challenge, just a chance to enjoy the works of other Pokey Peas Refugees. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Happy May Day, Pokeys! Still pretty chilly here, but the snow is all gone. I thought it would be warmer today, got excited and cleaned off the deck, vacuumed the furniture, washed all the surfaces, thinking we might be able to eat supper out there this evening. But there is a frosty north wind blowing, so we will be cooking and eating indoors again tonight. One of my goals for May is to do some walking every day. Today I did one circle around our big farm yard. I think the whole distance is about 1/4 mile. I walked really slowly and babied my knee, but am happy I did it. Hoping to work up to a daily walk of 4 laps by the end of the month. Tomorrow my cortisone shot is scheduled, so I may already have to take a day off, depending on how painful it is afterwards. Challenges are starting to pop up on the board and I have received some cool ones for iNSD. Those will be posted Wednesday evening. Lots of inspiration to help you scrap those photos, nylene! I am not sure if dh needs me to go with him on Thursday. He has a bunch of appointments all in one town. One of them is for his eyes, so he may need a driver. If not, I will have the whole day at home to take on some of those challenges. Finally got my crop crap put away, and took a few better photos of pages I put together last weekend. Here are the ones I uploaded to the Gallery: Happy 12 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr March 19 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Boris the Tortoise by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Here & There by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Good Morning! I so thank you Nylene for our new thread. It was absolutely gorgeous here yesterday. Not quite sure what the actual temperature was but it was nice. You know how I am with the sofa on the enclosed patio well I had an almost 2 hour nap out there yesterday! And boy did I need it. As you know I am not sleeping well. Did better last night also made it till 5 which is about 2 hours more then I have been! I hope it helps the concentration as I am still working on a project that should have been finished by now. But I go into the scrap room and and just stare! grammadee so glad to see you back! Love seeing some of your beautiful works. Hope you had fun at the crop with Justjac! I am sure the two of you kept things fun! I sure hope you all get to enjoy a beautiful Spring day and I will check back in later to see how everyone is doing!

Hi everyone, grammadee, gorgeous pages. I'm so sorry your knee is acting up. scrapincin, glad you got a nap and are starting to sleep a bit better. nylene, thanks for the new thread. DD took a turn for the worse on Monday afternoon, with a fever and throwing up from the nausea. DS lost his voice. I took them Tuesday to the dr just to make sure it's the cold relapsing (especially for dd) and not a secondary infection. Luckily just the cold. But DS did not go with Don for the weekend, which has left both of my boys quite sad. DD has not been in any mood for crafting. I again sat with one and the other snuggled on the couch and then both. I've got TV brain. ugh. I'll probably do more of the same today between chores. I'm hoping to get my craft desk cleaned up a bit too as I really would like to make a layout or two.

LisaDV, I am so sorry your kids are still ill. It's as hard on mom as it is on the kids when there is sickness in the home. I am praying that they will soon be on the mend and you can get the things done that all moms have to do. Hugs to you! scrapincin, I am glad you are enjoying your porch and actually getting some sleep there. I hope you can turn yourself around and get more sleep at night. 5 am is better than 3 am, but they are both toooo early to wake up when you need the sleep to heal. Hugs and prayers for you. grammadee, thanks for setting up the challenges for iNSD. I really want to scrap this weekend and hope I can. I have to attend a family funeral in SLC on Sat. which will take the middle right out of the day. It's my brother's mother-in-law that I have only met once, but I feel that I have to support my bro. Has the cortisone helped the knee? I think that's what I need and am ignoring. Have a great Scrappy Weekend everyone. msliz, I am going to start on your challenge.

Happy Friday ladies! It is a warm and beautiful day today. Hope you all are doing well. Not much going on here. I have stuff todo but not in a rush. I can't believe it is May already. Oh and it is INSD too. I am so out of it with the scrapping world. My mojo for scrapping and even cards is gone. Maybe seeing all your creations will inspire me. I think I have done so many paper crafts over the years, my creativity is taking a break. A longgg break. LOL! scrapincin- Hope you are feeling better today. Keep pacing yourself and being gentle. I have been watching lots of basketball play offs and that Lebron James is so awesome. So many were counting him and the Cavs out but he had something to say about that with 40 plus points! LisaDV- What a bummer for your son to get sick and not able to go with his dad. I hope another trip comes soon. How are you and your dd today? Wishing you all well. grammadee- Waving hello to you. Has it warmed up yet back there? Will you be planting a garden soon? nylene- Thanks for the new thread. Sending you warm wishes too. How is your dh doing these days? Waving hello to you ladies and have a nice evening!

Good Friday evening, Pokeys! I hope you find your crafting mojo, kellyr21. Lots of challenges on the board if you need a jump start of ideas. Yes, spring has finally arrived, but it is still pretty cool for this time of year. The snow is gone and the garden has dried up enough to be worked up, but dh has not yet hooked up the rotavator. I think the plan is to plant some potatoes and onions next week. What a bummer about your kids' illnesses, LisaDV! Too bad the guys are missing their bonding time and that your plans for a crafty weekend with dd are on hold as well. Hope everyone starts feeling better, SOON! Hope you can get your sleeping patterns settled down, scrapincin. But it does sound really nice to have a 2 hour nap on the porch. Condolences to your family, nylene. I hope you can carve out some time over the weekend to take on the iNSD challenges. I had my cortisone shot on Wednesday and although it hurt quite a bit at first, I can already feel an improvement in my knee. Still being really careful with it, though. Had the house to myself most of yesterday, so I made some cards and pages for the various challenges. Today I had to defrost the deep freeze while dh picked up the beef his nephew had had butchered for us. Here are my latest two pages. You told me I should scrap the story of getting lost, so I used an iNSD challenge to do just that! I had already finished the facing page and didn't have any good photos to do the facing page. But Linda's challenge called for no photos, just journaling, so it was a perfect fit! Good Monday morning, Pokeys! What are your plans for the first full week of May? I need to go to town soon to put Mothers' Day cards in the mail for my dd and 3 ddil's. Will also stop at the hardware store to pick up some seed potatoes and onion sets. Dh says he plans to rototill the garden today. He had hoped to do it over the weekend, but ran out of time as he was getting stuff ready for a fellow who will be here this week doing some shingling and siding on some out buildings. We hope to have potatoes and onions in the ground by the end of the week. Wednesday afternoon I get the full meal deal done on my hair. Then that evening we will go out for supper and then to play cards with friends. I don't usually--or EVER--get my hair done for a casual evening like that, but this time it all fell on one day. I have been dividing my time between scrapping (the crop and all the challenges on the board really got my brain working creatively) and decluttering a storage corner in the basement. Will have to stop there soon until all the stuff for the dumpster and donations gets moved out the door. I also need to find a way to store for the "kids" some of the momentoes I pulled out of the boxes. Hope you had a good weekend, and will have a wonderful week! Sending healthy vibes to scrapincin and LisaDV's kids. Hope you take on more of the iNSD challenges, nylene. And of course the challenges we are claiming for points in the May Team Challenge are all open to everyone, too.

Good morning all! Hope you had a great weekend! Bob's club had a weekend of introducing members of other chapters to see what theirs is like. Saturday I made lemon squares for the dinner they were having. Actually won $105 in a game they had. But it was really nice to be out and and about. grammadee left you some love in the gallery! nylene left you some love over at SBC LisaDV how is everyone feeling at your house. With all the critters you have i sure hope they are feeling better. kellyr21 -Yes LeBron is some kinda player but it makes me angry when the rest of the team do not help him out. It is amazing though how intelligent he is. And what he has done for the schools in Akron-from a recorded message that goes by phone when student needs encouragement to paying for college. Another point about him is how well he presents himself, and what he has done for the schools and the man never went to college! Just graduated from St. Vincent High School! Well waving to everyone Miss seeing you. BBL!

Sounds like a fun weekend, scrapincin! It rained overnight, which is delaying our potato planting plans, so I finished a couple of pages this morning. I have four dgd's. The other three are all in one family and are very girlie-girl. They all--even the 7 year old--are very in to fashion and looking good. They spend a lot of time doing arts and crafts, and quiet activities. And then there is THIS one. She has four brothers: two older and two younger. Her perfect day would be sleep til noon, and then spend the rest of the day in sweats without worrying about brushing her hair. She often helps with the younger two boys, and any day she spends with them will include some rough & tumble play. These pages feature photos I took of one of those play times. Me & My Brothers by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Me & my Brothers 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr She is the bravest girl I know. Imagine having those two little ragamuffins running at YOU full tilt!

scrapincin-keep on doing good! So happy with your good updates woodysbetty- looking forward to hearing from you soon nylene- happy May back at you grammadee- how is your knee? I've been enjoying your beautiful layouts in the challenges posts lisadv- Hope everyone at your house is better and stays that way kellyr21 it's ok if you take a break from scrapping. we love seeing your art, too. misliz also looking forward to hearing from you justjac and you! I'm taking a break from scrapping, too....not voluntary, though...I've been out of pictures for several days. I have some coming in the mail this week, though. I've been going through some old albums and dusting them, putting better labels on them and putting some pages on display on my table. Also binging on a show I found on Britbox called "Bramwell" its about a woman dr. in 1895. I find it authentic and very interesting to say the least. One week until we leave for Florida for our grandaughter's wedding. Dh decided he did not want to drive so we are getting our act together to prepare to fly. We don't fly very often so we have to figure out luggage, how much we can leave at home, etc. I bought economy tickets, then found out AA only lets you take one small personal item on board with that price. It's like a big purse. So dh is taking his camera backpack and I found a small duffel bag that is the right size I can carry on so we will have to check a bag, too. You save on the ticket, then pay to check the bag! Thought y'all would enjoy seeing the house we have rented. the wedding will be in the backyard with them facing the ocean. Dh is doing the ceremony, he will have his back to the ocean. www.travelocity.com/Titusville-Hotels-Waterfront-10br-Titusville-Resort-Home-W-Pool.h21652538.Hotel-Information

Congrats on graduating from PT again, scrapincin! Thanks for the love in the Gallery. Hope you get to play with paper again soon. Love that you got to play in the iNSD challenges, nylene. Hope you get to check off some more of them. Good to hear from you, @elaynef. That site for the wedding looks gorgeous. Bet everyone is really excited! Since I started flying more often to see kids and grandkids, I purchased a rolling bag that is like a large purse and fits under the airline seat, and the wheels make it easier to maneuver through the airport, but it has a zippered top and lots of pockets so I can access stuff in the airport and on the plane. I still pay to check a larger bag, but this one really has made my flying experience a lot easier. How are you feeling, LisaDV? I hope everyone is looking after you like you looked after them when they were under the weather! I am running out of photos, too, @elaynef, or at least photos I want to scrap. Have some on my phone I want to print, and hoping to do that when I am doing the greenhouse trip(s) the next few days. Also want to pick up some papers I had pre ordered to go with some photos I DO have. Here are two quick pages I put together today. I had laid down the strips of paint last night. pet shop by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Pet shop 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Off to plant potatoes!

Good luck with the potatoes grammadee! Congrats scrapincin. nylene and grammadee I’ve loved seeing your layouts. @elaynef have fun at the wedding. It is a beautiful house. I’ve been busy with Layout a Day. I posted my layouts in the challenge threads. Dean and I are flying to Vancouver on Friday and going to see the singer Pink’s concert on Saturday. Then we fly home Sunday. We won’t really have time to be tourists, but it should be fun. I’m stage managing two one act plays and it’s going well. Thank goodness thete’s only one rehearsal a week. Have a great day!

Hey Ladies! Hope you are having a good day today. It is warm and sunny here. I have yet to get out there but they day is still young here. I've been painting more and will share more pics soon. I love learning new things and painting seems to fit the bill. Oh, I sold my art for the first time to a neighbor and I was excited. I hope to keep tapping into my brave girl courage to sell more. So cool!
scrapincin Hooray for you!!!! So happy your are feeling better and getting out some. Oh what you shared about LeBron is incredible. I sure hope he wins more and stays in Ohio. #STAY The community needs him especially the kids and students
@elaynef Wishing you the best for your dgd's wedding. Are you wearing a special outfit? I just love weddings and hope you all have a terrific time.
justjac Wow, Pink concert? How fantastic! I have only seen her on tv but I am sure her show will be filled with great staging and awe moments. Have fun and tell us about it
woodysbetty Welcome back! What a good trip you had. I would miss all that pampering too. LOL! What was one of your fav moments?
grammadee Hope you are feeling better. Was it your knee? Hang in there

Welcome back, woodysbetty ! Can't wait to hear more about your trip. Love your page. Glad the crew helped to make the bd special. Yay, kellyr21 ! Congrats on selling some artwork! My knee is much better now a week after the cortisone shot. To REALLY help my knees, I should lose about 40 pounds. May have to investigate that WW point system... And I would have to get off my butt and do more physical activity and less scrapbooking... Have an awesome time at the concert, justjac! And the whole weekend! Looking forward to hearing all about it--and seeing the photos and pages! I did a quick couple of pages for my Grab Glue & Go challenge this morning. Now I need to get ready to do one of my annual greenhouse treks. Each spring I take an empty large pot to the greenhouse, and they fill it with gravel and fertilized soil, plant it with bedding plants. and keep it for a couple of weeks until they get established. Then I pick it up and BOOM: instant summer! I will also be picking up some veggy seeds and bedding plants while at the greenhouse. A little further down the road is the local photo printing shop, so I will print the latest photos received from dd and ddil's. So I will come home all ready to garden or scrap, depending on the weather! Have a Terrific Thursday, everyone!

Ii am sorry to have to post this but some of you would want to know It seems like this illness is going on forever. You girls are not going to believe this but I had the chills this morning so took my temp which was elevated a little 100.3 After being so sick a month ago I called the doctors office and then saw Dr. White a Pulmpnologist in the group with my doctor. Dr White diagnosed me with a secondary infection post influenza and prescribed doxycycline & prednisone (most likely Staph) and wants me to follow up with an appointment on Tuesday. I can't believe it but he said I was lucky I caught it early. So I am being very careful and if i get worse I am heading for the ER. or calling the squad which I will meet in front of the house LOL

I will also go to the ER or call for the squad if I am having trouble. So far so good Getting ready to close up shop oh still working on my mini album for my friend. Gave the other friend her cards the other day. She was so happy and I told her Happy Birthday! I have identical cards so I will take pics of them and post them a couple at a time! Well good night
