Happy international scrapbooking WEEK! In honor of iNSD, here are a set of challenges to inspire your creativity. You can create a page, a card, a gift, a décor item, an art journal page, whatever you can link to the challenge.
When you have completed a challenge, please let us know, and--if possible--please link a pic of your creation to this thread. As part of your post, please give the Challenge # and a little bit about how you met that challenge.
There will be at least two more iNSD challenges set, and when they pop onto the board, I will include their links here.
Challenge #1 (grammadee ): Celebrate Scrapbooking! Create some project that shows your love of this craft. Do a page about your scrap space, your favorite supplies, or a scrappy event you have attended. Make a fellow crafter a card. Hey, it even counts if you create something inspired by your favorite scrap star from their blog or a tutorial. Show your love!
Challenge #2 (msliz ): Wedding Challenge! You will need to include:
Something Old (product)
Something New (product)
Something Borrowed (an idea from another Refupea's page)
and Something Blue
Easy Peasy. And no wedding photos required.
Challenge #3 (mom ): Sketch challenge!
For my challenge, I would like to challenge everyone to use this sketch to create a layout.
Challenge #4 (grammadee ): Scrapbook Poker! Play your best hand. Choose ONE of:
AKQ = top three most used, OR top three most liked scrappy supplies
3 or a kind = use triple ANYTHING: 3 photos, 3 clusters, 3 layers...
Full House = 3 patterns + 2 colours.
Challenge #5 (gramma ): Celebrate !!! Celebrate a holiday. Any holiday - Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Fathers' Day, Birthday - any holiday will do. Do a bit of journaling about why the holiday in general or the specific holiday is special.
Choose 3 of the following -
Stars
Circles
Swirls
Flowers
Animal (dog, cat, elephant - it doesn't matter just use an animal)
Wheels (car, bike, bus - anything with wheels)
Double mat your photos
Include a title
Inking or chalking
Have fun!
Challenge # 6 (Linda ): Color Block it! Create a colour-blocked layout or card - you can use a template or sketch or just wing it. There are some examples here (not mine) Color Blocking Board
Challenge #7 (grammadee ): Scrapbooking Challenge Scavenger Hunt! This weekend there will be tons of challenges posed on dozens of sites. Go. Find them. Take them on. Post your takes on their sites. But then come here and share what challenge(s) you found, and what you did with them.
Challenge #8 (Linda ): One hundred Words! Let's get those memories written down - create a layout that includes at least 50 words of journalling. Earn a bonus point for a layout without photos and with at least 100 words of journalling.
Challenge #9 (stinkerbelle ): Freaky Fast Formula! so this is an older challenge (well, april so not really old yet) but they won't post their may challenge until friday...
anyway, the April freaky fast formula from the scrap room kits
April Freaky Fast Formula
Challenge #10 (Linda ): ConGRADulations! Graduation is just around the corner - make a graduation card or a layout about graduation (preschool/K/high school/college - doesn't matter). No graduates this year? not a problem - look back to the past and remember when YOU finished school or perhaps a parent or grandparent (maybe a heritage layout). Still stumped? Scrap a school-related layout instead.
Challenge #11 (kiwigirl kiwigirl kiwigirl kiwigirl): Tic Tac Toe. You will find the details HERE
Challenge #12 (grammadee ): SCT Fun!. Take on any of the hourly challenges posed by Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine blog Enter it for prizes over there. Share it for points (or fun) over here. The link is to the kickoff challenge. You can just click on the tab at top right to take you to each of their later challenges.
Challenge #13 (@thekatsmeow): Card Challenge for prizes. Check out the link further on in this thread for details.
