We took my MIL to Florida with us for oldest DS's college graduation, a visit with her nephew whom she hasn't seen in a few years, a day at Epcot and a day at a Marriott resort. If I heard "take a picture" one more time I was going to scream...but I digress...and believe me, I didn't mind doing it because she doesn't go many places and she was having a great time.
I want to make a quick album for her because she has a phone which does not store many pictures and we had a hell of a time sending them to her.
My question is: best size? She keeps saying that she wants to show her friends all of her pictures so I was thinking 6x8 so she can just throw it in her purse and take it wherever she goes. Then I wondered about 8.5 x 11.
Thoughts??

6x8 is the size I would do. Its portable without being too small.

I'd do the smaller size.
And how sweet of you for doing it for her. She'll love it!

I'd go 6x8 as well, you can get divided pages and use PL cards as fillers if you want to be really quick!

I've used the little 4 x 6 books you can pick up for a dollar or two. Picture on one side - "scrapped" page on the other. Also sometimes I print the pictures 3 x 4.

I would do 6x6 but 6x8 is OK too.

I agree, go for the small size. 6x8 sounds perfect.
Or, you could do a digital book on Shutterfly or similar. Then it will be thin enough to put in her purse.

Now I'm indecisive!

what about a 4x6 album like the kind from Simple Storiesyou could print the vertical photos as 3x4 and add in a few journal cards to sum up the details but it would be mostly photos for her to show off would be fast for you to put together and not take up much space on a shelf later on the link to Simple Stories has a cute sample album for inspiration

How's her eyesight? You might not want to go too small.
I like the idea of the digital photobook because of the light weight, in a large enough size so she can see the photos easily.
So sweet that you're putting it together for her!

I really hope she likes it.

I love the Snap! albums and accessories. So easy to create a book in no time. They used to also have some divider inserts with pockets for brochures, etc if you are interested.
