I am so far behind this week. I got derailed by some conclusions/realizations that came to me on all these random trips down memory lane. While I am just sharing the good memories, I have stumbled into some bad ones that shook me up a bit. This was a very unexpected "side effect" of the project.
Anyways, I am almost caught up with 28 posted memories. Today is day 31, so I can get back on track today, tomorrow the latest.

Hello again, 100 Dayers! How is the creativity coming? What have you been doing? What have you learned? I have been playing with a lot of art media, but have no system to what I am doing. One of these days, I need to get the little pieces of "artwork" into my journal. Have used some on pages and in cards. Picked up some fun Prima paints at the crop last weekend, and had a class using some of them. Loved them and ended up buying some more. Need to use them, b/c the presenter says they "dry up fast". Got home to a parcel with some other fun stuff. Played a little bit with some DecoFoil Transfer gel and stencils: loved it! And some Tim Holtz Distress Resist Spray: have not yet got the hang of it. You're working with such various techniques. Have you discovered any that you really love now?

You're working with such various techniques. Have you discovered any that you really love now? I tend to flit from one to another. If I were going to choose a theme, I would say I am learning to blend. And that includes figuring out what base I need (smooth or glossy cs? water colour paper? Art journaling paper? Any of these with gesso?) and how to do dry blending with a sponge or wet blending with water. I picked up some Yupo the other day but have not yet tried it with gelatos or oxides. I HAVE found a product I love to use with stencils for foiling with the Minc. The DecoFoil Transfer Gel goes on the stencil like butter, dries smooth, and then picks up the foil beautifully.

While I am keeping up with my photo a day and looking for the inspiration, I wish it was a little more easy to stay present daily. Something I'm always working on. But I do like the practice of trying to find the everyday beauty. Although I get sick of myself posting on Instagram everyday, but that's the only way I will stay accountable for 100 days! grammadee that deco foil gel sounds cool, have to try that. Is it at Michaels?

By day 100 it will be second nature.

Lately I've left my 10 days until after dinner a couple of times, which is not conducive to doing anything involved. I just haven't been prioritizing working on it. Last night I just chose a couple of stickers to add to a page while I was watching TV. But hey, that's better than nothing. I had other things that were taking up my energy.
I did go to a little more trouble with my Isle of Dogs movie ticket the other day. The whole point of this journal was to have a place to stick all the bits of paper I can't help but save - like movie tickets. And I love printing out some kind of image from the film or fan art to add, to remind me of the film. I found a great woodblock style print of Jupiter and Oracle on google images, which makes me smile every time I see it. (quirky good movie, especially for Japanophiles and dog lovers, btw).
I was watching an episode of The Americans last night that reminded me that I want to try drawing again. I had a sketchbook that turned out pretty cool several years ago, even though I'm not great at drawing. I had tried doing one line drawings and using my left hand and they came out pretty good. So I think I might try that again in my black page journal with a white gelly roll pen.
I got myself a special glue pen to try foiling with. I guess I should follow through and actually do that sometime. I found foil on sale at TM for cheap. I only just heard about the distress resist spray the other day - looks like a cool product, but maybe messier than I can be bothered with. I watched a Jenn McGuire video where she did some pretty fun things with it.

So, I haven't posted in this threads yet but I've been participating in this project! I'm a little behind though... my first project idea failed after only a few days: taking a photo a day with my dslr camera. It worked out well in the beginning, but then it got to the point where I wasn't doing anything except work/home and I can only take so many photos of my cat/interior of my house. Plus I often forgot before the sun went down. I did get some great photos though so maybe I will tackle this again in the future.
So I gave up, but then decided to try again when a new idea struck me--I've been wanting to learn to knit and decided that I would spend 100 days knitting every day hoping to learn how and get a basic level of skill in the end! So I am participating consistently even though I'm only on day 16. I am also posting on a new instagram I created for this project (and other crafty projects) @acreativelove

Bet you will be knitting like a pro by the time you are done!
