I just filled out the questionnaire but when I got to the payment screen I got scared. I'm short, fat and 50ish. I just have a feeling nothing will fit or work. I live in leggings and over-sized sweaters but now that the weather is warmer the oversized sweaters are a problem. Today I am in leggings and a flowy dress. I probably look ridiculous but I am comfortable.
I need to step away from the computer for a bit but I'll be back later to check for responses. Thanks all

Stitch fix is what got me out of my own head. I'd take things out of the box and think there's no way I'd wear that, or that it will fit. In the safety of my room all alone, I tried it on and the whole piece worked beautifully. I'm a hard to fit small person and they hit the perfect height with jeans and shirts almost every time.
I just got a box and when i opened it, the first piece was a crazy off the shoulder knit shirt. I laughed my head off before forcing myself to try it on. Guess what I'm wearing today? LOL

Stitch Fix can be hit or miss. It really depends on how well you fill out your questionnaire and how well your shopper listens to your feedback. I tried 2 different shoppers and neither one of them got a feel for what I wanted. I ended up trying Trunk Club and got much better luck. You get a huge box filled with items to choose from.

Don't be scared! If it doesn't work out, you can cancel at any time. Just give it a try. I was a little hesitant too, but now I have a closet full of cute things. I went in with the frame of mind, that if nothing worked for me, the 20.00 bucks was just the money I paid the stylist for pulling the pieces, boxing them and sending them to me. I could live with that. There is usually at least one item I love and keep. The one time I didn't like anything they actually sent my next box at no charge unless I purchased something. Their customer service is great and if you get something that doesn't fit that you love, you can exchange it for a larger or smaller size if they still have it in stock. Good luck!

I am loving Stitch Fix so far. I am fat and in my 50's. Be as specific as you can with your stylist, and I strongly recommend creating a Stitch Fix Pinterest board for your stylist to look at. I have liked everything I have gotten so far.

I thought trunk club was VERY expensive. Nordstrom quality and prices. I don’t feel I can afford to shop at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack clearance, yes

Agree Stitch Fix is hit or miss, for me mostly miss. The last box I got did took one of the pieces, the rest went back. I.did not feel like they listened to what I was looking for or needed.
Now did and dil have had good luck with it and love it.

Yes Stitch Fix can be hit or miss, but I just got a fix yesterday and it's a total HIT! I'm keeping it all. You can be very specific on sizes and styles of items you want. I don't ever get shoes from them because I have hard to fit feet. The jeans that I've received have almost always fit me perfectly. My last 2 fixes were total misses, so they finally gave me a new stylist. I'm so happy with my new stylist Alison. I say give it a try, you can always cancel.

I have never done it, but I am all for paying for someone else to do something for me when it makes sense. I think $20 is pretty reasonable in exchange for not having to drive to a mall, go to several stores, and pick out 5 things to even try... let alone get advice on how to style them. And if there is no subscription or commitment component to it, then it would be even more worth trying a time or two if it were me.
