I liked her magazine and Stacey (except for her "so there" controversy...ha). I remember she was doing a form of Project Life before Becky Higgins came out with it. Now she has a Story by Stacy line with CTMH. Story by Stacy article

I like the little mini books, but I doubt I'll be buying them. They look like they should only sell for a buck or two, but I'm sure they'll price them at some ridiculous amount. Cute, though.

It looks like these albums are 4x6 or around that size with room for a picture on one side and journaling on the other. Not something I’d buy. Im too in love with embellishments.

Cute, though. $13.95 for a starter kit. (The two stamp sets are priced the same as other CTMH stamp sets of the same size.)

Cute little mini albums. Would be lovely as a gift, maybe? Or as a Brag Book for a grandparent? Or an All about Mom book to give to a child?

What a weird comment! Someone wrote below the article (re: "storytelling") it's "Just another word for journaling. Leaving out a lot of older adults who cannot write any longer due to illnesses but still enjoy scrapbooking."
What the heck?

What the heck? I wondered about that one, too.

They are also very similar to the American Crafts 4x4 Instagram albums that have been out for a couple of years, at least.

It's just another example of a really, really old scrapbook trend making the rounds again. 4x4 mini albums? Seriously?
Not interested.
I used to spend a lot of money on Close to My Heart products. They changed, and I lost interest. I haven't bought from them for at least a few years, and nothing so far is enticing me back.

I think it's a great idea. This is the kind of thing that someone who is not a scrapbooker might see and think, "Hey, that's cute. I can do that". Everyone has to start somewhere. It's simple and that's the beauty in it.
ps: just wanted to add I'm not a CTMH type of scrapper but I think "back to the basics" is a good thing sometimes. This is the kind of thing that could bring new scrappers into our hobby and we need that.

First when I peeked at the blog I thought "Stacy has changed so much!" Then I realized it was not Stacy's blog. Least I admit these things, lol. Stacy you are still gorgeous. So is the author of the blog. I thought she looked like Gina K. I think the mini albums are so cute. I like everything old is coming back. I liked a bunch of that stuff. I feel trendy again, lol. I hope it is a success for Stacy and CTMH. No more "SO THERE!" Stacy. You messed up once. Don't become a hot mess, lol. I agree that is weird about storytelling and the elderly. All the elderly people I know love to tell stories, even if they can't write them. You know there is an old African proverb that says "When an elderly person dies they take a whole library with them." Most of the elderly members of my family have passed. I use to be their scrapbooker when they could not be. I know they loved mini albums.

There's something about Stacy's books that I just adore and always have.
This small size isn't anything new, but it is not what I'm looking for any time soon.

Many years ago I taught a memory keeping class for older adults at the public library. I bought those one dollar 4x6 albums at Michaels. On the right side I preprinted pages with writing prompts and the other side was for a photo, drawing or other visual memory jogger.
Anyway, they looked exactly like this but 2 inches taller. There is nothing new in scrapbooking. It is all cycling around again. I will certainly not be buying this product unless it is in the clearance bin.
I'm sure there are people who will love this concept though.

I don't mind the reruns. It means that stuff in my hoard is becoming trendy again. I just don't need to buy more of it. I actually have worked on 4x4 minis recently, but they are a bit fancier than the ones shown. I don't use pockets.
I love that African proverb! I had not heard it before.
I also agree that the simple, small mini may be a starting point for some people.

They are not for me, but agree that these could be the gateway album for a new scrapbooker, which is a good thing.

What the heck? I saw that!!! And all I could think is for crying out loud this woman is embarking on something new and exciting for her. Can we leave the sour grapes out???
ETA: I think its a cute idea. Something I would definitely consider buying at some point; I love mini albums.

I feel like this is so dated. I'm disappointed as I love SJ and I was really looking forward to her comeback. I wanted to see something fresh and new. Or at least a revised version of her Photo Freedom philosophy. This is just so blah. I could do this on my own with my very stocked stash.

I'm sure there are people who will love this concept though. Hey, there was nothing wrong with the concept before and nothing wrong with it now. It's just not what I'll be doing any time soon. I think. I probably just jinxed myself.

What even are those way overpriced mini albums? What is this? +20 years ago? Sorry, my filter quota's up for today...

This looks like a mini album kit I got from Lisa Bearnson from QVC a long time ago and put together. It came with one of her QVC books of layouts. I don't know what happened to it (mom threw it out I think?) and the book is somewhere downstairs. That was fun to put together!

I still have those old 4x6 albums that I took photos out of to scrap them. Her prints don’t seem that impressive. Nothing you couldn’t do with what you already own.
