When you have a mind like mine, any day can turn into Christmas morning. Today I was digging through a closet looking for summer shoes, and found a file case FILLED with CTMH collections. I guess I had stored them away there when I was redoing my scrap room a couple of years ago, but I had forgotten all about them. And obviously did not feel the need to go looking for them ... Anyway, this leads to my challenge: open a drawer, an iris case, whatever, grab whatever is on top, and use it on a scrappy project. So my plan is to open the filing case, take out the collection that is right in front, create a page or two with it, and move on. If you happen to grab a collection or page kit, and you happen to use it all up, you can claim that for Chinagirl828's Bonus Challenge. For THIS challenge, you just have to use whatever it is you grab from the front or the top of your container, cut or rip it however you like, glue it down. You can add any embellishments that are close to hand. You can also use any art media you have handy. But don't overthink it. You have 30 minutes! You are worried about photos? Don't stress about that either. Just grab one or more from the ones you have on hand. This is not for the Nobel Prize in Scrapbooking: it is to have FUN! I intend to revisit that filing case in the morning...

I will do this tomorrow grammadee (it's getting a bit late now). I know exactly what box to open too. I have a box full of Studio Calico embellishments so I'm gonna open that one and see what is on top!

Here are my two pages. The collection I pulled out was "Majestic Blue", a nautical collection. So I pulled out some photos of me on a cruise in 2016. Always camera ready by Gramma Dee, on Flickr With the collection pack, it took less than 30 minutes to do BOTH pages, and that includes a frantic search for the photos! Managed to add a cut out camera from some pp I used for a LO a couple of days ago. Claiming a point for Scraps. After I took this photo, I added a wood veneer "SMILE" to the second page. Totally claiming that as a point for Word UP! You trust me, don't you?

I did this for Donna. It was right on top of my iris case. What took me like 15 minutes was finding cardstock to make photo mats.

With this layout I grabbed the papers out of my give away box at school. I also selectd my pics at school, so when I got home I just needed to print them and assemble the page. I'm also claiming points for Flower Power, A-Z, and Word Up. TOPS BBQ by Jacqueline Bruce, on Flickr

I have several that I can take points in for the grab, glue and go 30 minutes challenge. Mainly because I tend to be a lazy scrapper and really go fairly quickly always.
Almost all but 2 of my bonus challenge layouts were grab, blue and go and less than 30 minutes. (The Seriously love this and the general stars layouts took me more time and thought.
I also forgot that my go big layout with the large scenery photo was a grab glue and go page. I knew I wanted to keep it simple and let the scenery shine. I had my label/tag container on the desk from the bonus challenges and a white label right on top, as was the off cuts of white cardstock from creating photo place holders on Donna's layouts. Also on the desk was a doily and a small scrap of vellum. The heart enamel was on a sheet I had recently just put away and right in front.

Left you some love in the Gallery, LisaDV. Seems like a page can take me 30 minutes--or FOREVER. I have five pages left to reach my goal this month, and some busy times ahead of me. I need to grab another one of those CTMH collections and see what I can do with it.

grabbed my "teen" folder as I'm working on DD18's high school album "Basketball" - background paper is from folder "Tales" - background paper is from folder "Prom" pg 1 and 2 - background paper is from folder "Senior Awards" - grabbed a already matted sticker (that hadn't worked on another page) from the folder and some leftover heart diecuts that were sitting on my desk
grabbed the first yellow pattened paper that would work instead of searching and searching for the 'perfect' piece (which as we all know may or may not actually exist) "UCF Scholars Day"

I am a fan of that diagonal design, msliz . Will leave some love in the Gallery. Here is a page I whipped up this morning. Don't know if you can read the whole title, but it says, "Being Mom of Boys in NOT for SISSIES") Mom of boys by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I had the pp and photos glued down before I started on the title. Of course no letter sticker sheet has 4 S's. Well, actually, the OA sticker sheet HAD had 4 S's, but they were all used on previous projects. So I cut out the negatives for my letters, stuck them on card stock and slathered paint over the top. Removed the sticker pieces before the paint dried (well to be honest this title was attached to the page and the page was photographed before the paint dried). You see, raising 3 boys has prepared me for fearless scrapbooking!

Still had my bag of CTMH supplies on my counter this morning, so used up another page of that old collection, plus a bunch of scraps from yesterday and from former projects. Here is my page. TRACK STAR by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I also intend to claim it for Go Big or Go Home (5x7 photo) plus the Scraps challenge. I con't have much left in that bag. If I get one more page out of it this month, it may just qualify for @chinagirl858's Bonus Challenge to kill a kit!

I did it! 30 minutes from start to finish, I had to think fast to get a title on it cause I had 3 minutes left lol! I used scraps for the papers, some washi tape and then I went into my Studio Calico box. I have a box full of packs of SC embellishments. I subbed for about 3 years (because I'm a FOMO idiot) from 2008 through 10 and then they screwed me over one too many times and I quit. So I am not a fan of SC, I think they're shady fuc*ers and I don't really want to support their company in any way (but you know, ask me what I really think about them hahaha!). But I have all these old embellishments sitting in a box. And I won't even go into how many stupid stamps I have that I never use. I randomly grabbed a photo from a pile and got the base of my LO down and then went into that box and used things. I didn't have a title in that box so I had to make a quick decision and grabbed an Amy T pack of Thicker words and after the yesssss I wrote 30 min layout 27/5/18. I did it, a LO in 15 minutes! I feel a bit dirty using all that SC on one LO. I might go have a shower. With bleach. And a scourer pad.
