Do you know how old the boys are? I looked back at one of her old posts - they are 25 and 27. I don't know however how far back she is trying to go. I know at one time she posted about wanting to leave them a letter (I can barely type this without crying) but didn't know how to do it. So - On the layouts I do, I'm going to include a blank mat for journaling. She can write or have someone write for her a short note. Then she can either add them to the layout itself or slip it behind the layout with a pull tab.
You are right on the money! They both have a birthday this week. Neither is married yet.

jenjie, at some point it might be helpful if donna could let us know what age range she need photos for. If I recall, she wanted to catch up on photos from when they were kids, even though they are adults now.

Sorry to add another question to your list, but do you (or anyone else who might know) have any good suggestions for restaurants that might be national? (Like, maybe they love Outback but there's no Longhorn on their side of town.) I don't know the first thing about Atlanta, except I assume it's huge from one side to another, plus a bunch of suburbs. I know there are other options listed, but since I'm about to eat dinner, that sounds the most appealing to me right now.

Wait, how did I miss that Donna was so close to me!? I am less than 2 hours south of Atlanta! jenjie if there is anything you think I can do let me know and I'm on it. I know she has a lot going on and doesn't need stranger popping in right now but I am happy to take her anything she needs! Rooting for Donna and thinking of her and praying for her every day. Praying there's a miracle in this surgery - hang in there!

There is a site called MealTrain that we used for a friend who is in a cancer battle. It lets people sign up to actually take a meal to the family or do gift cards that are both generic and for specific food places.

jenjie , at some point it might be helpful if donna could let us know what age range she need photos for. If I recall, she wanted to catch up on photos from when they were kids, even though they are adults now. "Age range they could work on is about 6 months to about 10 years." and she is fine with either one or two pagers. I'll update OP.

Don’t count her out! She shared this morning, “Talked to surgeon about CT scan. I think I am going to try the surgery. He said he can get it scheduled for this week.” Did I miss some information about this surgery?

They won't do surgery if there aren't fairly good odds of a decent outcome. That was the way it was for us. If her doctor is willing to try surgery, even with recovery downtime, they won't do it without some assurance of hope. I am really happy to hear this news. I knew she was tough. I was just worried. Even if the surgery is palliative it's still a good risk. Go DONNA!!!

I appreciate your letting us know. I am so sorry she is going through all of this.
Obviously, everyone hopes for a happy outcome.
May I suggest, though, that someone who is close to her be prompted to ask her to tell her stories, of her own life? I would hope that her sons would go through her photos and record the stories as she tells about the pictures, along with stories she shares that have no photos. I did this with my mom several months before she passed away, and I am so grateful that I did.
We hope that Donna still has a lot more time with her family, but it might be a good time to think about having her tell her own stories and photos, not just those of her sons.
