DD and I went to see the movie production of the off-Broadway play Puffs last night. It is the story of the Hufflepuffs during the time Harry Potter would have been at Hogwarts. It had so many jokes for HP fans, and DD and I laughed through the whole thing. DD really loved that they weren't limited by traditional gender roles - Harry was played by a girl, male and female professors were played by both men and women, etc. Heck, Ron was played by a MOP! There is another showing on Saturday, if anyone is interested: www.fathomevents.com/events/puffs

We saw it with my 2 DDs and my DS last November on a trip to NY. We all loved it! My 14 yo DD is taking 4 friends to see it on Saturday at the movie theater and she can't wait to share it with them.

In person was a million times better, I'm sure! I love the idea of making Broadway (or off-Broadway, in this case) more accessible though limited movie theater releases. I bet your DD and her friends will have a blast! We would go back on Saturday if there wasn't a school commitment that night.

I wanted to see it but it wasn't playing anywhere near me. It is this weekend but I will be out of town - ugh!
