That is ridiculous, making you get in line again to use a different coupon. Sounds like a call to management or corporate is in order. I have never seen a store do that. I can use as many coupons as I want as long as they aren't the same coupon. I think this is a training issue with the cashier. Yes, I actually have cashiers that say “Don’t you want to use the other ones as well?” There were signs up for a while that even outlined how to utilize as many coupons as possible.

I don't bother. It's only good on full price items. They won't take it off if you use a coupon or if you include sale items in the same transaction. It's very restrictive. I never, ever buy anything from Michaels full price. Never. You can only use one discount at a time at my store. If there is a 40% off coupon on one regular price thing, then I can't use any other coupons during that transaction. I tried to use a 40% off coupon on a full price rubber stamp and a 40% washi tape coupon in the same transaction. The clerk told me I could only use one of the coupons and had to get back in line to use the other one in a different transaction. One coupon per purchase. That store seriously annoys me. I like the idea of buying local, but 99% of my craft purchases are online. I'm really close to making my first AliExpress purchase because I'm tired of high craft store prices. I'm sorry you have a difficult store. I do find M's to be like that - depends upon your store and the staff. I can use a 40% a regular purchase and a 40% off other purchase, as long as it's not the same coupon at my store.

Something to "look forward" to if they don't change it or if I can remember in 5 years. Our little local grocery in the next town over has senior days every Wednesday where there is a discount. They give that discount to everyone on Wednesday though which is really nice.

I didn't know that. Thanks for posting that tidbit. Now if only I can remember to let them know.
