Does anyone else feel that Carta Bella has changed their style?
I loved them when they first came out, now it's hit/miss. I now feel like they look more like October Afternoon.
Didn't know if it was me or maybe they have a new designer on board now?

I believe one of the designers from October Afternoon is now a designer for Carta Bella.

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

I don't think looking like OA is a bad thing at all....off to take a look.

I actually like that CB is exploring different aesthetics these days. The OA designer who got snapped up is the very talented Steven Duncan, by the way. He stops by on the board once in a while.

What did you like about the original CB that you are not seeing in their latest lines, susancinpa? I don't mind if they explore other styles, as long as they still design papers that inspire me to scrap my rambunctious dgs's. And the paper quality seems to have stayed the same.

That explains why I picked up on the OA style. While I like the look of OA, it was always hard for me to use. I have several pieces in my stash, but don't know that I've ever actually gotten any in my albums. I like the Carta Bella lines like Beautiful Moments (one of only 2 collections I ever used completely & bought a 2nd one), Old World Travel, Transatlantic Travel, Rustic Elegance, Autumn, and Hello Fall are ones that come to mind. They were so easy to use with my pictures and style.

I missed OA I'm off to look at their stuff now. Does Carta Bella still use textured papers for their 12x12s? That's why I never buy their stuff even if I loved it. But OA styled designs might be hard to pass up

While I like the look of OA, I find it impossible to use. It's just not my style. So Carta Bella is pretty tough for me to use two. I prefer bright whites and bright colors.

Although theme-challenged & generally dislike cream backgrounds/pre-distressed/vintage products, I appreciated OA's versatile embellishments (eg alphas, labels, background stamps) & classic patterns (eg plaids, stripes, dots) on the reverse sides of the patterned papers. I also buy select heavily-themed Carta Bella products for the same reasons.
