Am I the ONLY pea who does not own a pair of yoga pants? I'm chubby and over 55 and do not own a pair. I wear sweats for a yoga class I take at the recreation center...

I'm chubby (tall as well) and I LOVE my yoga pants.. They don't fit tight... so maybe they are not the traditional type?? they have a flare at the bottom.. I live in them over the weekends especially when I am just running errands or staying at home...
Edited to add.. much less bulkier than traditional sweats...

I don't own any tight fitting yoga pants. But I have pants of a similar fabric that don't hug so close and that flare a bit at the bottom. I still call them yoga pants, but I don't think that they are what people picture when they hear the term "yoga pants".

I love mine. I got then at Old Navy. I don't do yoga much but I like them for walking or lounging around the house.

Don't be afraid to buy a more expensive pair, as the thicker fabric will help hide the bumps and bulges. My favorite pair is the Starfish pants from Lands' End, so they were probably only $30 ish on sale. I think they are more comfortable than sweats and they don't have the elastic at the bottom. But really, they are just a modern version of a sweat pant. Stretchy knit pants with an elastic waist.

I have several yoga pants that have been used for everything but yoga. I don't wear them tight though.

I love my yoga pants, and have many different styles. The tighter ones I actually wear for yoga, and then looser and flared versions for everyday stuff. I can't remember a time when I didn't have yoga pants! Mind you, I live in Vancouver, home of Lululemon, where yoga wear is practically a uniform.

The yoga pants from Target hold their shape far longer than any sweats I've ever owned and don't have that sloppy elastic at the ankles.
I'm way too old for sweats but I do like yoga pants in black boot cut.

I read the other day that the cost of jeans are going down because so many women are now wearing more yoga pants than jeans. I love my yogies (my pet name)

More comfy than sweats. And lightweight to deal with AZ heat. I wear a long shirt over them for lounging around the house or running errands. All mine have flairs at the bottom. And no yoga for me, either! Lisa Edit: And I go to church. But I don't wear them there. But I do wear jeans to church. Often. Judge away.....

I love yoga pants. My favorites are the Champion brand from Target. I'm not a designer girl and would never in a million years drop a Franklin on a pair of yoga pants. Jesus, no. These are affordable, fit great and last a long time. I work at a job where you can wear yoga pants and a nice tee. (Our dress code is: "Cover yourself decently.") Some days when it's going to be wicked crazy busy or I'm going to be on the floor a lot, like when I am working in a classroom, I will wear yoga pants, a long tee, and a long cardigan. I call that my work pajamas and I love those days because I am so comfy. But most days I step it up a notch... And wear jeans. I love my job. (ETA: In a church. So really, I wear yoga pants in church, like, two or three times a week.)

I have many 3/4 cotton pants to wear in summer, they end somewhere below the knee to mid calf. But they aren't called Yoga pants.

I Googled yoga pants to see if the pants I have are considered yoga pants. When I clicked on images, what came up was a bunch of women's asses. And if what these women had on is considered yoga pants, then no. You are not the only one who does not own them. I do, however wear these.

I actually do yoga in what are more like leggings, and wear what I think are yoga pants around the house - looser and flarier.

Speaking of yoga pants.....here is what I posted on FB last Thursday: "Inside out? Seriously? I never wear anything resembling yoga pants outside of the house. I'm packing for a trip and had to run to the chiropractor and drop off a prescription. Just a quick trip....no need to change out of my yoga pants, right? Wrong! I'm almost done and about to head home when I realize that my damn pants are on inside out! Really! — feeling embarrassed." Just thought I would share a funny and it is appropriate here on this yoga pant thread!

I don't have yoga pants, and I wear running capris when I do yoga ( not very often, but they're my only dedicated exercise pants).
