I had a sleep study last night or should I no sleep study. Looks like getting that dang machine. It was awful. I’m not even over weight. I stopped breathing 32 times in 2 hours. Dang no wonder i don’t always feel so great the next day. I just.went right back to bed and slept 4 hours. I’m just getting up now.

Glad you are home and now know what the issue is. Sleep depravation results in the same symptoms as major depression.
People I know who use a CPAP or BiPAP say they get used to it quickly and feel much better.

Once you get used to it you’ll feel like a new person! I’ve used a cpap for over 13 years. I was on medication for depression when I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and magically (not really, lol) didn’t need it once I got good sleep! It really has been a life saver for me.

Glad you got to have a nap when you got home jstblondie and if you do need a machine, I hope it makes you feel great the next day like everyone says they do.

I’ve been waking up a lot dizzy and sometimes my ears have a loud buzzing noise. I have a seizure disorder. I’m wondering if all these are linked together.

I am so glad you had a sleep study done! Sleep apnea can cause heart damage and all kinds of other problems. My dh and I both have cPap machines. It takes a few days to get used to it, but stick to it because you will feel so much better after good sleep.

I’m so happy that you had that study done. Once you get your CPAP, and you start using it, you will feel so much better. Then you’ll get so used to it; that you will not be able to sleep without it. I really hope they find out what is going on with your seizures and if they can make connection to you not getting enough sleep.

I was on a cPap for a year. I was retested and no longer needed it.

Don't fret about having to wear a CPAP. Yes, it takes a bit to get used to. Yes, you have to sleep with a hose strapped to your face. But I can actually participate in my life rather than sleeping every chance I get. I'm so much happier now than I was then. Same here. I'm not overweight, I don't smoke and I rarely drink. I just have an airway that collapses when I'm asleep.

there are a lot of conditions that can cause sleep apnea. Did your doctor discuss possible causes with you? Hope the machine helps.

there are a lot of conditions that can cause sleep apnea. Did your doctor discuss possible causes with you? Hope the machine helps. Not yet. I don’t have final report yet. My doc said if I stop breathing 10 times in an hour I’ll be using a Cpap. I’m assuming that wasn’t meant for only the sleep study. Dang that was a lot of wires connected to me. I had the full EEG with it too due to my epilepsy. It’s a no wonder I got any sleep at all.

Sorry you’re going through this. I remember you were in the hospital around Christmas too. I hope you feel better soon. Hopefully those nice cards you’re making are helping you stay in your happy zone.
