It looks like Michael's has definitely changed their tune since introducing their own 60% off coupon (it used to be they would only take 50% off if you showed them a J's 60% off) because the last several times I've used them there, they haven't fought me. One store manually enters the discount and another actually has a print out that has been adhered back and front to pieces of foam board that they scan. As we all know, there is rarely anything us crafters want not already on sale when J's runs their coupons, but M's usually has a better selection of non sale things to use them on.
I even saved one dude in front of me $15 because he was paying full price for something! Gasp! The lady in front of him was also paying full price, but I couldn't easily reach out and say something to her. I told the guy, 'never pay full price for anything at a craft store,' lol!
I had a few dollars in cash so I was uber cheap and used a coupon for each member of my family. My kids loved helping buy the stuff I picked up (my daughter called her $2 'tickets'). Got a ton of dylusions goodies (only need one more paint that the stores I went to didn't have in stock) and am thinking about dedicating a top tray in one of my raskogs to mixed media stuff so I can have it at hand. The plan is to gesso several pages in the next few days so I can give it a go during some of Adele/Inkie Quill's livestreams next month. She makes it all look so easy that I feel like I might be moderately successful with it.

I didn’t even think to go to M’s with my J’s coupon. I probably would have been happier if I had. I went to one J’s, with a terrible scrapping section, and bought about 20 sheets of open stock paper at 10 for $2. I also bought packages of black and white card stock at half price but found out when I got home that the quality is awful. I found a cute little lower case script stamp set for 97 cents I used my 60%off on a roll of glue dots. I went to a second J’s and the selection was just as awful. I bought a pack of craft card stock on clearance and a huge pack of black sticker letters for half price. The J’s I usually shop at is 20 miles away in the town where my Dad lives. Their scrapbooking section is so much better than these other two stores. I won’t go back to either of these.

The 60% off coupon is on their app? How do I get it? I need to buy a bottle of gesso and might as well buy the big one.

found it in my email right after I posted. Went to JoAnn and Michaels! It's a crying shame not to put a good coupon to use.

found it in my email right after I posted. Went to JoAnn and Michaels! It's a crying shame not to put a good coupon to use. I feel compelled to try and use the 60% off ones. While they do come around more often than they used to, they are still not as common as the others. I'm thinking that later today I might sneak out and make the drive to a further Michael's in an attempt to locate the paint color that I'm missing. It won't complete my collection because there are some other colors that M's doesn't carry, but it will give me a lot of options. Plus, I might go to Joann's as well and pick up a couple of paint pens because apparently they are quite useful in art journaling, too. Can't just try with one or two things...I need it all right away, lol.
