Rumor has it ABC is considering a spin off starring Eden Sher. I would love a show about Sue!

Sue is one of my all time favorite TV characters - I would love that!

I would love that too, but only if Brad and Sean were on it. It would be weird to not have Sean since we saw that they get married, but even weirder not to have Brad. I love their relationship, one of my favorite moments on tv ever was when Brad tried to come out to Sue and she just said, “I know”.

I hope this is true! I would love to watch a spin off and see Brad and Sean on it, as well as Brick and Axl!

I would love it. The Middle was such a good show, I think one centered around Sue would be great.

I would watch that! She's such a delightful character (and delightful actress) that a spin-off could be terrific.

Hmmm, as much as I love Sue, I think this could be a huge career mistake for Eden Sher. Very few spin-offs have success. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Frasier.

I think it would depend on the writers and how many of the original cast will still be involved. Also, I think Eden Sher will be typecast regardless that it definitely can't hurt her career.

Writing and castmates will make all the difference. I love Sue in the context of her family and school. She could be obnoxiously silly if there's not a balance with the rest of the characters. I'll still give the show a try if it happens! I love The Middle.

I think the best spin-offs have one character complete move away from where they came from. Frasier had an occasional Cheers cast member show up, but built it's own ensemble in a completely different environment. Rhoda is another example that worked. I hope whatever they come up with puts her in a completely new environment, with all new characters, rather than trying to hold onto the old.

I can think of a few more spin-offs that were successful The Jeffersons Maude Rhoda Mork & Mindy Laverne & Shirley Good Times The Facts of Life The Simpsons Boston Legal A Different World Angel But...I do see what you mean...I do love Sue and I would watch a spin off but I would also like to see Eden Sher in another role. If she does spin off and continue to play Sue, she may not have a chance at any other roles (and be type-casted)

I was not looking forward to a world without more Sue Sue in it -- thanks for sharing! Even if it doesn't work out I will be happy they tried. Thank you Sue for reminding me to look at the world like that and not always complain. I will be disappointed if there is no Brad however.

If she does spin off and continue to play Sue, she may not have a chance at any other roles (and be type-casted) Most of these spin-offs were developed well before the show where the character was originally introduced was canceled or ended production. Some were one episode or minor characters and some were secondary characters that developed a strong fan base in the first season or two. There was lots of room for the writers to flesh out the role. I can't remember if Boston Legal started before The Practice finished and I'm not familiar with Angel, but I kind of think The Middle ran its course and hasn't left much for the writers to work with even if they put Sue in a completely new environment and surround her with a new ensemble. We know her too well. Frasier is still the only show I can think of that was a successful spin-off where a show was created for one character after the run of a successful show ended.

ET just played an interview with Eden where she said she loved the Sue character, grateful but she has no interest inlaying Sue again. I guess we will see.

ET just played an interview with Eden a=where she d=said she loved the Sue character, grateful but she has no interest inlaying Sue again. I guess we will see. I love Sue but I'm not sure it is in her best interest to continue this character. Eden Sher is in her mid-20's I think. If she were successful with a few years more of Sue, I think she would be typecast as Sue forever. If she wants to do something else, now is the time.

I would like to see what else she can do. She seems like a very sweet girl and I would hate to see her typecast forever as Sue.

I am still sad over the fact it's over. I would love a Sue show but it must include Brad and Sean! I would think that the other young actors in the show who weren't working elsewhere would be thrilled to play a more prominent role in a spin-off.
