My goddaughter is turning 13 and I don't have any idea what to get her. We usually get her a gift card and have done Barnes and Noble, Justice and Claire's in the past. She loves clothes and crafts. What some "in" and fun places to shop for girls this age? We live in the Dallas area so we should have most everything.

My daughter is 13 and she would love a gift card to Delia's clothing store, a gift card for a crafty class like sewing or knitting or just cash.

Is there a Charming Charlie's in your area? That might be fun.
My DS is 14 but goes to a lot of parties for girls. One popular gift card combo is Coldstone and a movie.
Also, they all love a gift card to Target.

Why not just ask her what she would like. She can talk for her self at this age.

When DD turned 13 last year, she asked for gift cards for movie tickets, Amazon (let's face it, you can find ANYTHING there), Forever 21 (she'd "outgrown" Justice a year or so before), and Target. But I agree that maybe you should ask her, or at least her parents, what she'd like.

Do you have an Iviva store (Lululemon for kids). My girls go crazy for anything from there. They have great clothes, and accessories too, like duffle bags, backpacks, etc.
What about a small sized over the shoulder designer purse. If you have outlets nearby you could get one for even less.
Paige.

Since trends/styles tend to vary from person to person, school to school, AND week to week, I suggest gift cards that give her options. In addition to Barnes & Noble, some other gift card ideas:
- Target
- Mall company (e.g. If you buy a Simon gift card, it's good at any store in every mall owned by the company)
- Cinema (e.g. If you buy a Regal card, it can be redeemed at any of its locations) - Michaels, Joann, Hobby Lobby, Benjamin Franklin, &/or other specialty craft store
- iTunes or Game Stop, if applicable
- Verizon, TMobile, AT&T, or whatever her cell phone service provider, if applicable (e.g. phone cover, car charger)
- Visa can be used anywhere Visa is accepted
- Etsy for stores on its site
- Amazon on its site
Happy 13th birthday to your goddaughter!

At 13, my DD was interested in H&M, Forever 21 and iTunes gift cards.

We just bought this Shany makeup palette for a friend of DD's, and now DD is begging me to buy one for her for her own upcoming birthday. It is a beautiful set ~` makes a nice presentation. Shany Makeup

Mine is turning 13 and has asked for cash, cooking lessons, stuff for her instruments (she plays three), and experiences like movie tix, tickets for the local playhouse, and a Broadway show.
