Do you have a Flickr account? Are you a member of the 2peas Gallery? If you are, do you use links to Flickr to share your creations? After I saw admin's message about reducing the number of attachments from the past to free up space, I started thinking about this. We have been posting a LOT of photos lately with all the challenges. I noticed that the Gallery has added over 500 photos since mid February. But there are also a ton of photos that have been linked to the challenge threads through attachments. If you are not a member of Flickr &/or the Gallery, signing up now would be a big help to this board. Once you have uploaded a photo of your creation to Flickr, it is super easy to link that photo to show up in a post here. There is a step by step process for becoming a member of the 2peas Gallery posted by admin in the General area of the board I think. Once you have signed up for Flickr, you need to ask for permission to join the Gallery, and it will be given as soon as admin gets an opportunity to do this. It is possible to upload your photo to Flickr into a private album, and then share just that photo in a post. If someone else clicks on that link, they will not be able to access your full Flickr account, or even that photo: just get a message that this post is Private. Setting up a Private album will also keep prying eyes from outside the peas from searching and finding your photos too. If you are not a member of Flickr or the Gallery, please ask for help, and I am sure one of the Peas can give you a hand.

i’d forgotten about the attachments issue. i don’t know how to link from flickr but if someone tells me how i’ll start doing it! On your Flickr pic you want to link, click on the share arrow at the bottom right and a pop up will appear. Choose BBcode at the top, and then small medium or large at the bottom (I chose BBcode and small on the first one, and now I never have to redo the choices). Then all you need to do is copy and paste the address from the pane to your post in the MB. No need to do anything else. When you are creating your message, just the address will appear, but as soon as you hit Reply or whatever to post the message, the photo will appear there in your message.

So attachments are a no, but a link with the photo attached is ok? I have no idea how the boards work or about IT stuff .

When we link to Flickr, the picture stays where it is, and the only load on the MB is the address link. When we attach a photo from our computer, the MB post actually houses that photo and that takes up space. I think it stays on the MB even if we delete it from its source?

I upload through the Tapatalk app so they’re not attachments. 😊

I know nothing about tapatalk or facebook, but if all you are linking is the address, that should work, too.

When we link to Flickr, the picture stays where it is, and the only load on the MB is the address link. Sometimes I can't access the link so I can't see what is posted there. I think what I am going to do is go back and delete previous month's photos unless there is something I want to save.

I don't get along with Flickr so I upload to Facebook and copy the image address from there. I got totally frustrated trying to do the Flickr thing. How do you upload your Facebook links?
