I found this on clearance at pier one today. I love it in the living room but I'm questioning if it's too short. The feet of both sofas are just on the edges. The colours are just what I was looking for. (But maybe the pattern is too bold?) I also tried it in the dining room. I took a close up so you can see that it really is quite bright, as that doesn't come across in the photos. Please share your opinions. I can still take it back.

I love color in my house, so the vibrancy doesn't bother me a bit. In the dining room it's going to be a non stop pain since when people are seated at the table they'll be fighting the chair legs vs the edge of the rug. Can you post better pics at different angles so we can exactly what's going on with it vs the living room furniture legs?

I LOVE the rug ! Especially in the living room ! I think even though the dinning room chairs pick up the yellow/gold color, I would like the chairs a solid color.
Also, just my opinion, I hate when dinning room chairs have to be picked up to move in and out from the table.

Keep it! I don't think it's too bold or short at all - goes perfect with your living room. Maybe a bit narrow for the dining room... chair legs could probably get hung up on the edges. Great find, I really like it!

I love it! I might reconfigure the living room furniture around it.

I like it in the living room but not so much in the dining room......two reasons, the pattern on the chairs and the rug are too much together and the chairs would be a pain when someone is sitting at the table because you would have the front legs on the rug and the back legs off, making the chairs uneven. I don't think it's too bold, certainly not in the living room.

Love it!! Yes, it could be the next size up, but that is always a huge price jump! I think it looks great in the living room

I like it but I don’t think it’s big enough in either space. Definitely too small in the dining room. You may be able to rearrange the living room furniture so it works better.

I love it! I might reconfigure the living room furniture around it. Not really sure there's many options. It's wide open to the dining room from where I took the first pics, has the other opening to the front hall where I took the last one from.

That additional photo is super helpful. Is there an option for a larger size? I think something closer to an 8x10 would fit in the space so much better.

Another option to the too-small dilemma...you could layer it over an 8x10 sisal rug if you like that look.

Can you just tighten up the living room furniture? I bet if you moved the couch closer to the teal table it would better.

Keep it, it's gorgeous. I would jig the living room furniture around a bit to make it fit in better.

i think nudging the furniture a bit is a good idea. only you can tell if it seems too small. i think it might be on the small side, but i am sure there are worse decorating offenses occurring in lots of people's houses.

I like it too! If it were me I would pull the rug out from under the sofas and center it under the coffee table, nestled up "near" the sofas. Does that make sense? So in the first picture, slide the rug to the right a little, and forward a little too, closer to where you were standing to the the photo. Caveat: I am not a designer and really have no clue about interior design

I love it. I would move it out from under the furniture in the living room. I don't think it needs to be under it.

I had a rug that the furniture didn’t even sit on. I have a bigger one now, but I didn’t mind the smaller size.
