The search function used to work great. Why all of a sudden has that changed and the search results bring you everything BUT what you are looking for?

I have found the search function works for older threads, but not for recent ones. YMMV

I have asked admin about it and she said it generally works for her. She wanted examples and I think I gave her one.

I just did a search for Italy and got a thread that was posted to 2 hours ago. Just searched for netflix and got a thread from March 2018.

I haven't been able to get it to work for months - its very frustrating. Like you said you get anything but what you are looking for LOL.

I tried using the search for how to delete a thread... found nothing even though I'm sure someone has to have asked before.. I just deleted my posts instead...

Try using the top Search function, the one between the Gallery and Members on the top menu. That one works for me. The one on the top right of the thread never does.

I tried using that Search last night. I was looking for the recent threads on Ikea. Old threads came up but not the two from this past week. That’s the first time that has happened to me.

I just searched for this thread and got nada I just searched the word "function" in the "where to search/thread title contains" (and I put in NSBR on 'which board'). This thread was the first one to show up in the search results. But I didn't have anything recent come up when I searched "ikea"

I searched longer than I care to admit for a thread about Bed Bath & Beyond Beta.
I'd like to think I'm an OK searcher. I used the one up top to the left, not the one that's just for decoration. But nothing showed up close to the store.
Finally, I used the pea search feature....aka I started a new thread and asked and amazingly cadoodle, the op saw it and replied. Works better than the search feature up top.

In my experience, the search function has never worked well on this site.
