I made the mistake of not showering 2 nights ago after swimming laps in the pool. Yesterday my daughter pointed out that I have green hair! Green!!! Help! How can I fix it without going to see my stylist and re-highlighting my hair?

I would call my hair stylist and ask what he/she recommends. I know my sister bought a product from her salon.

Make a thin paste with Dawn and baking soda and shampoo with it a couple times if needed then deep condition.

Get a chelating shampoo made for post swimming like ultra swim, triswim or Paul Mitchell three I would try this first and if it doesn't help then I would call your stylist. I would not try Dawn. It is very harsh, much too harsh for hair. To protect your hair in the future from chlorine in a swimming pool wet it first before going in and even better wet it and put conditioner in it-the conditioner is difficult if you are swimming in a public pool. Wetting it does help. For the best protection wet your hair and put on a swim cap.

Paul Mitchell 3 is what I always used for DD. She's a blonde and was a competitive swimmer for 12 years. I've seen my share of green hair!

Dawn will strip color - if it's highlighted...it's already stripped of the color?
they used it on the baby ducks!

The water from the faucet fills in the hair with clean(er) water first, so when you get in the pool, it is already saturated and less likely to hold the chlorinated water.

I used to use a Paul Mitchell shampoo when I swam daily. It was made for that, but I forget the name.

We used to use tomato sauce as a chlorine remover. Don't know if it worked and I really liked the brassy look my hair took on from the chlorine when I was on swim team.
