For good or ill NSBR was a big part of my life in these last dozen years or so.
I met my best friend there, and many other friends. Many of whom I was lucky to meet in person, some were only in the digital world.
Thinking about the years of posts (many novels worth) there are some threads that will be sorely missed...
Thanksgiving crazy lady. Dogs stealing baby Jesus. The wonderful religious kitsch off between Catholics and Mormons. Crazy crock pot threads
In terms of events I remember ...
Funny jokes in the middle of the night about Brad Pitt being some peas (imaginary) pool boy (Am I the only one who remember that?). Epic hair flips (they always came back).
What do you remember? What will you miss - and what do you want to have happen here?

I remember Sydney. That was the biggest mess ever. But hilariously entertaining.

I had been on the general scrapping board for awhile when I found NSBR. When I ventured over, it was all the brouhaha over TOB and the adult nature of it with everyone up in arms. Lots of epic threads over that!

There were LOTS of threads about MSP = magic shaving powder. I can't believe that there were no pix or illustrations to go with the "gotta-have-it" du jour. LOL

The day LeighJanes mom Fleur was PUI and posting some crazy shit...and then came back the next day and blamed it on those French teenagers who "highjacjked" her computer. The poor thing never lived that one down. lol PDR and her multiple personalities. She'd be super nice one day, and then one day she flipped because the LLPs didn't invite her to join their private board and so she terrorized them, and eventually hated all the peas and then hair flipped out of here. Lauren's (God love her) epic melt downs, her bannings, and resurrections I have a soft spot in my heart for my baby story..the peas were by my side through the entire thing. I'll never forget that

I remember how the peas rallied when Collin (sp?) was sick and then passed away. Back then the NSBR was so tumultuous yet seeing everybody come together for Tanya and her family was incredibly moving. The candles we had in our avatars left a lasting impression on me...
and of course there the scams and crazies that would appear... You knew something was off when they would first post but had to just watch it be played out until it exploded. Remember the girl (maybe from California?) that had the fake military boyfriend? That one was fascinating to me. I can't recall the exact story but it was a shit show.
and, I'll admit I posted once in need of support anonymously and I received it. There were some (of course) who doubted the story I had then, but I needed the support in a moment I couldn't reveal more. So thank you peas for that.

Amanda, I think she owned a Scrapbook Store in Lodi/Stockton, CA. She was a middle-aged woman, married, I think, but apparently was a "swinger." That was back before Facebook, and she had a fascinating MySpace page.

I favourite was Laura Solomon's Dream Elevator to hell. I don't believe I ever heard about that one. What was that about? And no one ever replied to my repeated requests to hear about Nurse Kitty's epic hair flip. I'd still like to know about that one. I never even got a hint!

Oh thank God Mooseknuckle for refreshing my memory that it was Laura Solomon that had the double identity and got banned, it's been driving me bananas all day trying to remember her name! Didn't she have us all convinced for a while that her alter ego fake persona was actually stalking her?

I know I never really posted much (ok 7500 posts in 13 yrs), but I remember a lot of the epic threads. Remember DayDreamer ( I think that was her name) and The Spreadsheet?!? I think that is what kept my interactions limited after that, haha!

I was thinking of the 'epic ' threads last night when I was thinking about 'losing' NSBR. I think the 'once when I was pregnant' and the one where the lady made her husband cook the dinner because he had invited family without asking her. That went on for days with updates and the writing was so entertaining!

I favourite was Laura Solomon's Dream Elevator to hell. I don't believe I ever heard about that one. What was that about? And no one ever replied to my repeated requests to hear about Nurse Kitty's epic hair flip. I'd still like to know about that one. I never even got a hint! Ok, I got time, so here we go...... The Pub was thriving and in comes LS dramatically. Very much an attention grabber. She was a good scrapper, but she was really "rah, rah" and soon gained Pub followers. I remember NSBR peas warning us about her because she previously caused some shit over there, but being in the days of girls clinging to the idea of not "rocking the boat in hopes to be published, so Laura didn't get much flack. Laura was promising girls they'd see their names in lights. They were big promises and it gained her a posse. I also believe that Laura started making up fake peas personas to make herself more popular than she actually was. Anyhow......LS would post these "Dream Elevator" posts and her fans or clingers would hop right on. Laura's personas would fawn over her too, just for effect and one of them was "Mrs. kellerman" Now, for whatever reason, LS decided that Mrs. Kellerman was going to turn on Laura and I think it was to gain LS some sympathy from fellow Pubsters. I can't remember how it started backfiring, but I remember Mrs. kellerman really going off the rails and 2 peas Kristina posting on the Pub that Mrs. kellerman was a fake account and it didn't stop, she'd reveal who it was. Anyhow, this is when Mrs. kellerman went apeshit and posted that Laura could ride her Dream Elevator straight to hell. Oh it was hilarious! Anyhow, 2peas Kristina ended up banning Laura, her Mrs.kellerman persona and whatever sick puppet account she created and that is when all is Pubsters figured out that she was trolling herself. Once LS was banned, she managed to come back to the board to tell us that this whole incident happened because she lived in a kibbutz and her whole account was hacked by someone living in it. I was curious about what she was up to, so I googled her. It looks like she tried to become a life coach, just like she was trying to do in the Pub. She didn't seems to last. If her Pub performance was any indication of how she conducted her life coaching business, it's no wonder that venture shit the bed.

The public farting and when I was pregnant were my two favorite. However, I also will remember the thread that was resurrected not too long ago regarding the beginning of summer, and the mom that had every second planned and was way too perfect. Also, the thread where the great-aunt committed recipe fraud. There are so many...
When I first visited two peas, I got sucked in by some event. It was years ago, it was probably my first few visits, in the evening, and my brain is a bit fuzzy on details. If I remember, I was reading a thread, and there may have been a link within the thread. I remember going off that thread and there was a conversation of several ladies. They talked about their drinks, and they were making fun of people. I was new, so I don't know the back story, or who anyone was, just that it was some great drama. If anyone remembers, or knows of that, I would love to be clued in.

I too would look at it for a pick me up occasionally. That might have to be copied and pasted for future reading.
