Yesterday I turned my newly organised scrap room upside down looking for my brand new set of Gansai Tambi Starry Night watercolours. After coming to the sad conclusion that they were gone (either by my own hands accidentally or by the hands of my "helpful" 3-year old daughter) I secretly ordered a new set online last night. This morning I found them hidden behind my typewriter. My stuff plays hide & seek all the time. Most things turn up eventually. Usually after I have purchased a new one. Hmmmm…. maybe I should order a new magnetic metal ruler. Mine has been gone for a few months.

stinkerbelle - lol...by that rubric - most of my stash was 'very old' when I bought it (I tend not to buy right away)

I just used some patterned paper from 2003. She'd probably call that prehistoric! LOL.

making progress on this vacation album - DS26's trip to Mainland Japan in May 2017 (he's stationed in Okinawa). I've finished Yokosuka and his bullet train ride. Next up is Legoland Japan (which I'm having to split off into its own album - his dream is to visit ALL of the Legoland - Japan was #2 after Florida and he made it to Malayasia this Feb....I'm going to be SO sick of scrapping Lego...his three trips plus I took the girls to FL last summer...and none are scrapped yet).
Then Osaka Castle and turns out I haven't printed his train museum photos yet - he took 155...that's a daunting number so I'll have to be selective when ordering prints...maybe tomorrow.

I just sorted several hundred pictures of 2002 into month piles. Feeling accomplished. Tomorrow I am dragging out over 400 blank layouts to match them with.

Went to a LO class tonight. Lots of distressing and heat embossing chipboard. Also picked up some cardmaking kits that will help me with the anniversary cards I need to create in the next couple of weeks.
While I was in town, stopped at M's and picked up a few things, including some more Prima paints and some water colour markers. Hope to play with them soon.
Also printed a ton of photos, and hoping to get a few pages finished here at home over the next few days. Excited to get started.

I had some more scrapping time today - that's two days in a row!
Tomorrow's pages are on the table waiting for me, but I'll have errands to run at some point for a few hours. I'm scared to clean off my table because I know DD15 will steal it to set up her painting while I'm out. I'm not done with it yet!

In November last year, I had a massive purge of my crafty supplies and got rid of all my border punches and distress inks. Because I thought they were old and outdated. Then I started watching YouTube videos and keep seeing border punches and distress inks being used so much. I realised that the products weren't outdated, just my techniques. Now I wish I had kept them all.
And...
Until about 3 or 4 months ago I would not have looked twice at any Kaisercraft products. So not my thing. Now I'm not sure if it's their products that have shifted or my eye/aesthetic but I am loving almost all of their recent collections.

I’m spending all weekend st scrapbooking crops, Saturday at my usual one & Sunday at a new one I went to for the first time last month. I’m really looking forward to both of them but need to get moving & start packing what I need to take. But it’s so hot here in the UK that when I get home from work all I want to do is sit & eat ice cream! Can’t leave it to the last minute as I’ll forget something but am having a hard time finding the motivation to actually pack.

I have been working on my Alaska Trip album a few times a week and have a lot done. This makes me happy. Hoping to scrapbook late this evening and then tomorrow again too. No big plans which is just perfect for me. I will even have the house to myself for a few hours tomorrow afternoon.

I’m going to look through it all with new eyes before it leaves my house.

I had planned to spend the weekend scrapping but had no mojo today. Instead I sat in a sunny corner and read a book in between some chores around the house. I'm still hoping I can finish the two pages that are on my desk this weekend.

I'm still hoping I can finish the two pages that are on my desk this weekend. Sounds lush! I just bought 3 old BG 6x6 pads and one 12x12 collection off eBay! I also have 2 old Crate Paper 12x12 collections in my basket which I'm umming and ahhing over. I'm not sure I really need them and they are £17 each but they're proper old Crate, back when they were textured papers!

I am trying to figure out how to purge hundreds of photos for my 2002 album. I have about 45 possible layouts in pictures and need to whittle that down to 25 double page layouts (with a few PL pages tucked in for major events). I refuse to make my albums have less than a year in them.

kiwigirl love your haul! i always thought that kate & co was so pretty, but never got any. i don't think i ever had any of the crate line either, except i do have one of the sticker sheets, which is very random but whatever. i definitely did have the more masculine version though and used it a TON. for your viewing pleasure: click me
ETA: this one too i loved their textured papers too!

kiwigirl - those are lovely stinkerbelle - love those pages! I'm still plugging away at the Legoland Japan pages - he took a ton of photos of Miniland and it's all different parts of Japan so fun to scrap all these places I'll probably never see in person. I bought a pack of adhesive last Friday and finished it up today, good thing I bought another pack this Friday
