I have noticed over the past several months, more and more people bringing large blankets with them to the movies. Some theaters even sell them or provide them in VIP sections.
My family has never brought blankets or even considered it necessary.
Do you bring blankets to the theater? Why or why not?

I’ve never done it, but maybe people bring them because it’s cold?

I don’t, but I keep wanting to!
Our new luxury seating is ridiculously comfortable that I always say that all I need is my blanket.

Great way to bring things home with you. Besides filth the blanket gives you extra fabric to collect any hitchhikers that might have made it to the theater. Fleas, ticks, Lice or bedbugs.

Why yes I do! I bought this incredibly soft blanket earlier this year and I cinch it with a belt like thing to carry it to and from the movies. Since we have leather reclining seats it just makes it more comfortable when they have the air on full blast.

Mine never touches the ground, the leather seats are super clean, the floors are wood laminate and it is no more likely to pick up something than my clothing.

Not a blanket, but I do bring a sweater and a very large scarf. I am always freezing in the theater. Even in the summer.

I often see people bringing blankets, I usually bring a pashmina to cover up with. Theaters can be so cold in the summer.

I have never seen or heard of this before and would probably do a double take if I saw with a blanket.

Our theaters are the ones with recliners, and YES, I bring a blanket. I love laying back in the recliner all snuggly in my blanket. And then I bring it home and wash it for the next movie.

Hell no. I’m always hot so I love the coolness of a movie theater. It’s 110 here right now, so a icebox movie theater sounds like heaven. Another week or two and the pools will just be lukewarm water. 😩

We don't. Why? Idk, too lazy? Lol. We don't have nice recliner seats unless you drive over a hour away so the ones we usually go to are reg seats and are uncomfortable so a blanket would be just more of an annoyance.

I haven't, but I've sure thought about it! With the leather reclining seats, though, I'm worried that a comfy blanket would make me go to sleep!

If I had a blanket, and was reclining in those super comfy seats, I’d be out like a light.

I have thought about it because our theater is about 50 degrees year round. That makes it ridiculous in the summer when you are dressed for hot weather outside.

Our theatre has heated seats! It's amazing. Wow - hadn't heard of that before! I do see people bring blankets to the theater here, but only to the ones that have reclining seats. I have a blanket that I bring to one particular theater because it tends to be chilly. It's a fine line between being not-too-cold but not so comfy and warm that I fall asleep!

Never have, never will. It's a two hour movie for god's sake , not a camping trip.

I've never seen anyone with a blanket until one day last week and I saw a girl bring one in with her.

Nope, never. Honestly it has never crossed my mind to bring a blanket. I don’t go to many movies but when I do, I always bring a sweatshirt or jacket though.

A few times a week I like to wander into the ice rink where my dd is practicing wearing a tank top, shorts & flip flops. Oh so deliciously cool! I don't care if the hat, mitten and parka crowd stare at me! lol I've never seen anyone with a blanket at the movies but my kids prefer to wear a light jacket or long sleeves.

I see them brought in at our theaters with reclining seats and think it’s brilliant. I always bring a longer heavier jacket because I freeze in the theater.
We have one theater that provides fleece blankets and pillows.

We went to the movies today and I took my blanket. Our favorite theater has reclining seats and it is freezing in the theater!!! I hate being cold, so I bring my blanket.

I haven't done it, but I would. It's always freezing in movie theaters. I went to the movies a couple of weeks ago on a scorching hot day, and I dressed in a sweatshirt, long leggings, and shoes with socks. Luckily that did the trick, but I would not hesitate to bring a blanket if necessary.
In the winter, I never take off my coat or gloves in the theater.
