I've had vertigo for almost 2 weeks now. I was finally able to get an appt with the ENT yesterday, and she confirmed it was viral neuritis. She is sending me to PT, but of course I can't get an appointment until the end of next week because each location of the PT place only has one therapist that does vestibular therapy. All I have to say is that this better go away before we leave for Honduras in a couple weeks. I'm going to lose my mind from the constant spinning sensation! That is a terrible feeling!! Praying you can get some relieve quickly!

A case manager at work quit so I offered to check her voicemail and follow up on urgent stuff this week and next week. Usually it's not a huge deal but this CM was a mess. Case notes and basic info on clients is either outdated or missing all together. I'm spending so much time trying to figure out info to deal with stuff on her caseload. I have zero patience for people who can't do the bare minimum part of their job. It's people like this who force those of us who do our job to sit through retrainings on stuff we are already doing! Argggggg!!!!!

Oh and Minnesota weather - please STOP raining. I am beyond done with it, stop already! Send it east...we are in desperate need here in western NY I so wish I could. We have standing water everywhere. It will stop a couple days, then a couple days of constant rain.

It's so hot. If the humidity would go away I'd be fine. For 3 days it has felt like 45 You can't do anything. Plus we don't have central air and my fans and bedroom air con were not as effective as I hoped
And yes come winter I will be saying please take away wind chill.

My vent today - Husband's atm card number got hacked and it drained our checking and savings. It will take about a week to get the money back. We both have new cards - have to make sure that the old number isn't stored anyplace. That's why I never do auto payments. I don't like storing my number. So I will have to try to live with no money for about 10 days.
Small vent - I ordered an expensive scrapbook album for my Goddaughter to put in her army photos. Today the company cancelled the order because they no longer have the item. The refunded money went back to my account that is overdrafted so that money just went toward the negative balance and I have no album.

All I have to say is that this better go away before we leave for Honduras in a couple weeks. I'm going to lose my mind from the constant spinning sensation! For PT-are they thinking you have secondary BPPV or are they trying to get you used to the vertigo? I had a sphenoid sinus infection that ate into my right inner ear and spent months while the doctors tried to figure it out, then another 5 months with OT and PT to “rewire” my brain around the damage. If it’s BPPV, try another clinic. Not all PTs who do the maneuver are vestibular therapists. If it’s trying to rewire your brain, try sitting in chairs with arms and try to keep your feet on the floor. I also felt it was helpful to be near the side of the room so that I could see the wall out of my peripheral vision. Meds like meclizine will mask symptoms, but won’t help your brain to rewire itself. So use them only when you can’t tolerate the vertigo any longer. Vertigo also mimics a lot of the symptoms of a TBI. It takes a lot of brain power to keep yourself upright and that makes you tire quicker. You may need naps, rest, more sleep, or all three. Good luck!

I am pretty sure it was my fault... but why does it seem that stray tissues only sneak into the dark loads of laundry and always one you picked up somewhere else that will disintegrate into a million pieces vs ours at home that will pretty much stay intact in the washer. Anyone care to guess what I spent too long cleaning up this morning?

My husband is supposed to start his new job Monday but his fingerprints aren't back. So now he can't start until the 23rd. His last day at his current job is Friday - he has 210 PTO hours they aren't giving him because they are closing and can't afford it. He is owed the PTO but they aren't paying anyone - he already filed with the Labor Board but we won't see the money. So now we will go 2 weeks without a paycheck. I'm supposed to be going home (first time in 15 years) but may have to cancel the trip because of no paycheck.
I'm a lot of words but pissed is the first one that comes to mind right now.

And while I'm at it, ex, when you feel like taking a trip down memory lane, leave me out of it. You're supposed to be happily married now. Don't send me a link to the video of our first dance song. That shit was 18 years ago. It's over and done and I'm not looking back. ALERT! He's not "happily" married if he's reminiscing about your wedding and marriage. He's regretting her, and you were the better wife.
HA FUCKING HA!

I want to remodel my kitchen, have a realistic budget, and have cash to pay for it. I have had four different contractors come to my home for estimates. Only one bothered to get back to me with an estimate. That one wasn't even for everything I asked for. One called three months after he was here to see if I was still interested in an estimate. If it were just up to me, I would sell the damned house and buy a new one.

Made me want to whack him over the head with a board. (of course I won't.) I've repeatedly said the family member I have in the middle of the nasty custody fight is really lucky their X has blocked all of us on FB, because I would NOT be able to control my mouth when their X starts spewing crap about what's going down. At the end of the day it would hurt my family members case if one of us goes off but man this person can get my back up.

I am type 1 diabetic. I am also obese. I am so tired of going into medical professionals where they read I am type 1 or I tell them I am type 1 and all they see is my weight and automatically assume I am type 2. Dude, you wouldn't even know I was diabetic because I came to you for an unrelated condition except you saw "type 1 diabetic".
Yesterday I took my son in for something. I asked about hypoglycemia being a possibility. The NP asked about family history of diabetes. I told him I was type 1 which from his questioning it seemed he didn't believe that. It wasn't till I said I have had it for 40 years that he seemed to finally be ok with it.

Being able to make your own lunch and shower does not make you have capacity. The fact that said person almost lit house on fire should be a good indication that he is not capable of living alone. I really wish the social worker would see the difference in that

Anyone care to guess what I spent too long cleaning up this morning? I was with you - I too spent this morning re-washing clothes for the same reason. So damm annoying but I have no one else to blame as it is my pockets that the tissue was in. Every.time.

We have a neighbor who sets off big fireworks. We are in a sub with smaller quarter-acre lots. They must spend thousands on these fireworks because it seriously rivals what our city has done in the past , just not as long and no music.
He sets them off the day before and day of every.single.effing.holiday as per the city code. So technically nothing illegal but do we need fireworks on Columbus Day? You get my point. Keeps all the kids up and sub is divided on loving it (free for them) and hating it for waking the kids, spooking pets and we have some folks with PTSD too.
So last night was a big show. This morning I go running and where they set them off is still a fricking war zone. In the sidewalks, the road, and into the common area grass next to their house.
I turned my ankle trying to dodge the remnants of the damn fireworks. I couldn’t avoid them. Luckily I walked through so I didn’t really get hurt, but damn - clean up your shit.

There are lots of videos on line that have a technique that actually helps with that (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3S4Dh8BU10 is an example). I have had that problem before and was super surprised this helped tremendously!

It's been raining all afternoon, hard, so even if the fireworks are still on, we just don't want to go. Of course the kids are beyond disappointed and now are being little pills. Happy 4th!

So pissed off that our local mentioned the fireworks show that is going below us.
I live in the middle of dry grass on a private road and there is NO PUBLIC PARKING.
The private road is the only road above the fireworks.
We will be f'ing chasing cars off our property for the next few hours. The drivers will try to park their hot cars on dry grass. Plus the smokers. OMG why do these ashat's flick their ashes out the window???

Dear neighbors: You have until 12:01 am. Then my DH is calling the cops. With my blessings. You have been setting off fireworks on and off since 3 pm. It’s now 9:45 and I’m so over listening to the noise and you’re stressing my dogs.

I'm over the fireworks. The neighbors have been setting them off since 7. I'm tired of my dogs freaking out and barking. The neighbors across the street lit a bunch in the street and there's crap all over it. Sure hope they clean up their mess but not holding my breath.

It is sucking the fun out of it.

Something in this cabin is setting off my sinuses something fierce, which in turn is making me cough. It sucks. Also, the good news is this afternoon in between rain storms I used this great product that works miracles at getting stains off of our pontoon boat seats. The bad news is my hands still smell like bleach and that was over seven hours and dozens of hand washings ago. I even tried white vinegar, salt, mouthwash and citrus soap and they still stink.

For real? The actual words "why did you angry face emoji my post?" come out of adult mouths/fingers? And for the use of the "offensive" emoji someone was kicked out of a support group? Don't mind me, I'll just be over here picking my jaw off the ground. scrappyesq I'm sorry people suck. I'd totally pull over and happily and patiently wait for you. Yes girl lol! Not even kidding. It's happens in so many of my groups...one of the admins got butt hurt over someone giving her a angry face that she made an announcement stating if you give anyone a angry face emoji it's grounds for removal of group...no exceptions. It happens in a lot in my weight loss groups...just last night I commented on a lady asking why someone would angry face her post and I said "it happens by accident a lot of the times". LOL! Imagine if they had to be admin here, or, heaven help them, the original 2Peas NSBR. They’d have a coronary!!! 😂😂😂
