So pissed off that our local mentioned the fireworks show that is going below us. I live in the middle of dry grass on a private road and there is NO PUBLIC PARKING. The private road is the only road above the fireworks. We will be f'ing chasing cars off our property for the next few hours. The drivers will try to park their hot cars on dry grass. Plus the smokers. OMG why do these ashat's flick their ashes out the window??? So the people at the start of their almost lost their house. They too only have a bit of green space. The rest of their lot is sage brush and native grass. My husband is outside keeping watch on a spot where an ember came down. We have a lot of sagebrush and it smolders for a long time. It can burst into flame a day later.

Yes girl lol! Not even kidding. It's happens in so many of my groups...one of the admins got butt hurt over someone giving her a angry face that she made an announcement stating if you give anyone a angry face emoji it's grounds for removal of group...no exceptions. It happens in a lot in my weight loss groups...just last night I commented on a lady asking why someone would angry face her post and I said "it happens by accident a lot of the times". LOL! Imagine if they had to be admin here, or, heaven help them, the original 2Peas NSBR. They’d have a coronary!!! 😂😂😂 LOL! No kidding. I always think to myself "damn these people would never last over at the Peas"

If the listing does not offer any other customization, don't order it and then add it in the notes. Send the shop owner a message first.
I got an order for a key fob and they added "add these charms." Umm, no where did I say I can add charms. I don't even offer charms.

Dear neighbors: You have until 12:01 am. Then my DH is calling the cops. With my blessings. You have been setting off fireworks on and off since 3 pm. It’s now 9:45 and I’m so over listening to the noise and you’re stressing my dogs. its been fireworks since last Friday here. I’m so over them And the kind that make sounds are illegal here so there really isn’t an excuse.

Something in this cabin is setting off my sinuses something fierce, which in turn is making me cough. It sucks. Also, the good news is this afternoon in between rain storms I used this great product that works miracles at getting stains off of our pontoon boat seats. The bad news is my hands still smell like bleach and that was over seven hours and dozens of hand washings ago. I even tried white vinegar, salt, mouthwash and citrus soap and they still stink. tryrubbing them on stainless steel? Supposedly works for garlic smell in hands

I haven’t ever heard that one before. I’ll have to see if we have a stainless steel pot or something here. None of our appliances are plain stainless, they’re all painted.

I try not to bitch about my job too much because I don't want to get surly about it. But we take turns answering the phone here. I'm just blown away often by the stupidity.
Caller: "Can I have the number to XYZ?"
Me: "Sure, it's 555-4400."
Caller, "Oh wait, let me get a pen."
What the heck. You knew you were asking for information.

Drives me nuts. I go to bed that night after numerous hand-washings and my nightly shower... and I can still smell it.

To all of the dickhead bus drivers I have had to deal with the past 5 weeks taking public transportation: please do not make a face, have an attitude or say dumb shit to me that makes me want to throttle you because I take a minute to walk up the stairs of the bus. It is not a major inconvenience to you to actually pull up to the curb instead of making me get of in the middle of the street. If you see me walking down the block don't be an asshole and stop halfway then have the screwface because it takes me longer to walk halfway up the block than it would for you to have pulled up closer to the actual bus stop where I was waiting (as opposed to by the corner which made sense only in your little world). And to top it off don't be a jive turkey muthaf*cka one day then expect me to acknowledge you the next day as if you weren't a loser to begin with. Aside from the fact that I walk with a cane you would think that all of the things I mentioned would be just common driver courtesy but they are not. I can't imagine life as a NYC bus driver is easy, but c'mon. Give me a break and be human for a minute. Seriously! Can you report some of those a-hole drivers? Contact MTA by dialing 511. Say MTA, followed by “Subways and Buses” then say “comments and concerns” and press 0 to speak with a customer representative. I work in Equal Opportunity/Civil Rights and they need to know if drivers are responding negatively to people with disabilities. It’s a form of discrimination and inhibits your access to the program. The driver can activate the kneeler or even the wheelchair lift if you have difficulty with the steps. Of course, the wheelchair lift will take a lot more time...if you want to prove a point.

I am so tired of the community coffee pot here at work. There are six of us who drink coffee. We all pool our money for grounds and filters. I am damn tired of the person who is done drinking coffee at 9 am turning the pot off. I just went to get a cup (from a pot that is halfway full) only to find that it's cold. I had to reheat in microwave. And I turned the pot back on.

No more dealing with idiots.

My vent has to do with my 28yo son. He and friends did something very different (for him) for the 4th. It's something most people would find questionable. Nothing illegal at all....just something that makes a lot of people uncomfortable to one degree or another. It's all over his Instagram (not just in his instastory) and I really, truly hope it doesn't come back and bite him in the butt down the road. He's ALWAYS been very good about keeping his social media "vanilla" up until now....
Yep, 10 years after flying the nest and I still worry about him.

I want to remodel my kitchen, have a realistic budget, and have cash to pay for it. I have had four different contractors come to my home for estimates. Only one bothered to get back to me with an estimate. That one wasn't even for everything I asked for. One called three months after he was here to see if I was still interested in an estimate. If it were just up to me, I would sell the damned house and buy a new one. Crazy right? I bought a place 5 1/2 years ago when the economy was just beginning to turn around. Contractors were fairly easy to get a hold of, and followed through. I bought another place last July, and it's been the polar opposite getting folks to follow up....even AFTER they've taken the time to provide a detailed estimate. While I'm glad that the economy has turned, it's a 3 month wait just to get my handyman here. Anyhow, I feel your pain....good luck.

I have a huge box of nitrile gloves that were left over after my mom passed away, and if I was at home I would have used them for this. I was just going to use Magic Erasers like last year to clean the seats, but Costco didn’t have them when I looked. DH mentioned in passing that he bought the spray stuff the neighbors used but I didn’t read the instructions until I got here, and it was only then that I realized how bad the stuff stunk!

I really don't have a dog in this fight. My biggest pet peeve is that I have to wait at home to sign for a delivery. It is a set of golf clubs. I do not golf. It is 2:22 and I can't go anywhere until they arrive.
