Update on one of mine...my friend's 20 year old daughter, Rylee, that was hit by a car on May 27th is now out of ICU and in a regular room. Praise God - she is doing better than anyone thought she would be (I am sure thanks to all the pea prayers!). She is able to do a few small commands like grab your thumb when told and she even smiled a little when her dad was making faces at her. Please pray that the Brain and Spinal Center will soon have an opening so she can move there.
Here are others we are praying for:
donna , elaine , susan , peppermintpatty , zella , MrsLeftyFixIt , scrapmaven , craftykitten , sueg , theshyone (daughter, Alexis and friend Heidi); ~Sherri~ , me2 , canadianscrappergirl (son Spencer), jeremysgirl (daughter), ntsf (friend’s mom Gigi and her DH’s friend John), bearmom (daughter), scrappintoee (friend Debbie), @craftykitty, hop2 , anothermom2two (sister, Mary), Peamac ("Uncle" D), @donnie (friends Abigal, Jill and Kim), bothmykidsrbrats (Michelle & Briana), paget (daughter Hannah) 61redhead (coworker who lost her daughter, baby Avery), Gravity (coworker whose wife passed-also for their children)
I am sorry if I have forgotten anyone - please add your praises and prayer requests. If you don't have any, just please pray for those that post on this thread and remember to Thank God for his blessings.
(Note: hitting the "like" button means you are praying for the request)

We just got home yesterday after a week at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. My daughter had two days of clinical testing regarding her sudden arrhythmia death syndrome long qt, had some unexpected bad news which was very unsettling, on Wednesday she had a LCSD left cardiac sympathetic denervation; and a TEE which showed the bad unsettling news wasn't. She then had a really bad allergic reaction to morphine while coming out of recovery from the surgery. It was a really rough long day, a six hour surgery lasted way longer, I was pacing and so anxious as it just kept going and going with no updates.
Then Thursday she had a ICD (implanted cardioverter defibrillator) placed that can both pace her heart and shock it out of deadly arrythmias. Like having her own built in AED. She also had her LINQ a heart monitor removed as well.
She has five five holes in her, three like deep stab wounds from the laparoscopic equipment used to reach her heart. They seem to be causing her the most pain. We had a 12 hour trip home yesterday.
It was an amazing and extremely stressful week, that seemed both incredibly short and incredibly long. She has been awesome through the whole ordeal.
My friend Heidi a month ago today lost both her mom and dad in a car accident, it's been a hard month for her, and her family.

Could I add a prayer request for my daughter Abby and well myself, dh, and ds?
Dh, Abby, and I had our blood taken last week for the Trio Whole Exome Sequencing genetic test. Dds dna will be sequenced and broken down as well dhs and mine. Then they begin to look at her dna and then compare it to a normal sequenced dna. Then ours is compared.
We have been trying for 5 years to piece all of her medical conditions together and things arent improving. We are looking at connective tissue disorders. Something to explain her dysautonomia, pots, carnitine deficiency, and why her legs give out as well as joint, muscle pain.
Only 1 out of every 4 families gets a positive answer.
Please pray they discover what she has. Ds also has something and he will be tested if we get a positive result.
A result will open many doors for us. Therapies and interventions to help. We cant get those with a clinical dx.
So please pray we get an answer as to what dd has. Thanks

She seems to have too many rare things for them not to be related in some way. Long qt is a potassium ion channel issue, and maybe someday her solar urticaria, and joint issues, and skin stuff, and pain, and hypermobility will somehow have a connection that right now isn't known about. It hope yours gets an actual diagnosis soon.

This atheist thanks any and all of you who are praying for me.
I'm not doing well. At all. Physically or emotionally. I'll try to post something soon.
I just got released from a 6 night stint in hospital for a serious infection.
I'm crying a lot.
Thank you for caring. It means a lot.

Zella, I know that you suffer from depression and have many health issues. However, I want to remind you that when you've had a serious infection it's normal to be even more depressed afterwards. The meds, the lack of privacy, the environment and the scariness of the infection itself really do a number on the mind. Please take that into account. I get what you're saying. I'm a 3 time sepsis survivor. Believe me when I tell you that you're not alone. ((((HUGS)))).

Thank you for remembering to include Hannah on the list. I’m not comfortable sharing exactly what is going on because it’s her story but there is a lot. This past week was a big one and in one area I’ve seen big improvement and in another, even harder stuff added. Your prayers mean a lot. I’m praying for you all, too.

And it was probably partly to blame for the severe reactions I had the last 3 days. Hugs right back to you; you're awesome!

I wanted to give an update. I met with DD therapist today. Her therapist believes she is making much progress. I also told her things seem better at home as well. We went to the psychiatrist on Monday and he increased her meds. She is sleeping. She is eating.

Thank you all for your prayers. My surgery on Tuesday went well - the surgeon said she was able to get good, clean margins around the tumour. I was released from hospital this morning (Friday), once they could remove the drainage tubes. I will get histology results sometime next week and have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks where I will get me treament plan. The surgeon is still fairly optimistic that it will only be radiation.

Just noticed something weird, I remember hitting the like button on all of the posts on this thread and I'm not seeing them now. I read every one so I can pray for all of the peas, their friends and families. You are all important to me and I like to acknowledge it with prayer.
Hugs to all needing extra love and support.

I've been thinking/ praying about Donna's family and their grief disneypal .....How is your friend's daughter doing? zella .....How are you doing? (( hugs )) Thank you so much for asking! So I was in the hospital for 6 nights with cellulitis around my implanted port. My mast cell disease was very bad some of that time, probably because of the IV antibiotic. After getting the port out and a new PICC IV line put in, I came home. The first week was rough. I'm doing better now, but I may have an infection in or around the PICC. I'm on oral antibiotics, and am just watching it for now. I don't know why things have suddenly gone haywire, but there it is. Honestly, though, any day I don't feel nausea is a good one. I've had maybe 3 of those in the last 3 weeks. Family things have improved. My older daughter, SIL and granddaughter have moved out and are all doing well. Younger DD is doing rotten, though. She has mast cell disease too, plus fibromyalgia, chronic daily migraines, and some other issues. Poor kid. We're enjoying the sunshine and long days, even though mostly we just look from inside the house, lol!

My prayers go out to you for your daughter. This hit me as DH has heart issues (A-Fib, CHF, etc...) and is also allergic to morphine and codeine. He's had reactions to both. Also, they tried to pace his heart 7 years ago (they stop it and then paddle it---they tried 4 times to get it to be more regulated with no luck!). Instead, he got bad burn marks from the procedure and nothing changed.
I pray that your daughter's pain is only from what's been done recently.

P.S.: Can I add DH to this list? I posted a month ago about his ICU stint, and now we learned that he has new tumors in his bladder. This is his 5th time with bladder tumors (I believe--I've lost count), and I'm still dealing with my eye surgeries and recovery since January. We have no one here (no family or friends), so it's been pretty bleak.
My prayers are with everyone in this thread, to have the strength to get through their own medical situations.
