DH wanted baklava and instead of buying phyllo dough I bought puff pastry. I went back and bought the right thing and made the baklava (delicious) but now what should I make with the puff pastry? The box is in the freezer for now, but I would like some yummy ideas.

The easiest thing I've made with puff pastry is to to put asparagus, prosciutto and parmigiano cheese on it and bake it until it puffs up and is golden brown. You can put any other roasted vegetable or carmelized onion on it, too.

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

Can you fill it with some kind of cream then dip the top in chocolate like a cream-puff? Sorry I'm not an expert (which you would think considering my love for desserts) but maybe you could do a search for cream-puffs or eclairs?

Quick and easy
Ham and cheese sandwiches. Sprinkle shredded cheese, and chopped ham on one sheet, can also spread layer of dijone on bottom. top with second sheet, crimp edges and bake for 20 minutes.
Quick turnovers: frozen cherries mixed with Ma Maison cherry preserves, Bake 12-15 minutes.
Cheese sticks: brush with garlic butter, sprinkle sheets with grated Parmesan, cut into 1" sticks, twist and baked 10-12 minutes
Top crust for chicken pot pie
Or is you want to spend more time, spinach pies

artgirl1 Yum! I love Puff Pastry! I open it up, spread mustard on it and put thin layers of ham on it and then roll it up jelly roll style. Freeze 30 mns and then cut into spirals (just cut it like rolled cookie dough). Cook at 400 for 10 mns and you have such a delicious hors d'oeuvre!

We do the ham and cheese sandwiches kind of like artgirl1. I roll it to a 12x12 sheet and cut into 4 squares. Then put ham and mozzarella cheese on one half. Mix one egg and tbsp. water and brush around the edges. Fold the pastry over and seal with a fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minute.
The biggest thing to remember is that each sheet needs time to thaw. The package says 40 minutes! but I usually go 60 minutes.
The chicken pot pies sound delicious!
(How do you tag someone??)

I use it to top steak and ale pie, to make shepherd's pie pasties, for poorman's beef wellington (with mince) or mushroom wellington...

Quickest and easiest is to spread a little Nutella between two layers and bake. Yum.

To tag someone, type the @ symbol and then their name (no space between). Note, that only works if their user name and display name are the same. If you try tagging someone and it doesn't work, then click on their name and find the user name on their profile. Use that instead. It will post as whatever display name they're using now.
