White towels Colored towels Heavy dirt towels (used for cleaning) Sheets Whites and synthetics (athletic clothes) that don’t bleed Darks but sometimes will make a heavyweight dark load that has jeans and other heavyweight wovens and dark lighter weight knits

I bet your ds’s gf never learned to separate laundry. If you have a good repor with her, you could ask her about it or show her. If she already knows she might just be lazy or she doesn’t care. I have to say that if my boyfriend’s mother decided I was too lazy to separate my laundry “right” (or do whatever housework task) and decided to school me on it, that would challenge our good rapport. How many different laundry separating techniques are in this thread? Maybe she just does it her way.

I separate whites, colours, and darks. No separate wash for sheets and towels. All of my sheets are white and, if I did them separately, I would never have enough for a full load of white. This is me . I only used the dryer on my youngests non-iron school uniform , now he's left school it will rarely get used ( maybe to finish the towels if they're a bit crispy !
