$4,000 pre-tax split between her and Tiffany does she not seem like the windfall Tracie imagined when she was throwing out the number of downloads and FB followers. I don't see her continuing the podcast for $2,000 minus expenses per month but we'll see. No effing way does she pay taxes on her income. Hmmmm. Which makes me wonder how hard it would be to report her to the the IRS? Eh. Probably more time and give a fuck than I have. SaveSaveSince they are now being paid through a third party, I am sure it will be reported.

SaveSaveBecause she's using a company for income gen, they'll report it if it's over a certain threshold. But do you really think she will?? I don't. She will call it her hobby and claim she didn't realize it was a business.. EDIT I see what you are saying - the third party will report it for her. Gotcha. Yeah, I guess she will pay taxes on it (or take up a collection for it). SaveSaveSaveSave

If she uses her income earned to offset a loss in another area of her business (lettering, crops, whatever,) she might avoid paying anything.

I'm still part of the FB group but honestly I rarely pay attention to the posts in my feed. It's the same handful of people making all the posts and comments. It's kind of boring really and not very inspiring

It's kind of boring really and not very inspiring I'm still a member but I've unfollowed because it is the same few people. Every few days I go look at the page, but there doesn't seem to be a ton of discussion outside of the same posters.

I wasn't willing to pay for the podcast subscription, although I had contributed from time to time before. I miss the early days of the podcast, before it became so commercial with so many other guests. It seems to be following the same pattern that the Paperclipping Roundtable did, and I dropped it long before it went off the air. Commercial success just breeds more commercials for other scrapbook products and services. Too much selling is a turnoff when it comes to my hobby.
I have been spending less and less time in the Scrap Gals FB group as well. In the group it seems to be okay for some to promote themselves and others not. I don't get their guidelines.
I'm really only there to keep up with Tiffany, who I find to be so much more relatable. I do wish Tiff would go back to blogging.

I recently found "Everyday Artist" podcast. It's new, only 2 episodes, but scrapbooking related.

According to the most recent blurb, there will only be one retreat next year. It’s on national scrapbook day weekend and in savannah Georgia. Same price. No guest teacher. Space for 60 attendees. Registration opens in November. And they are doing people a favor by letting the divide registration into payments.
Get this. Tracie actually had the gall to say “do not spread this all over the internet because we are not opening registration up to the public. This is just for our subscribers.” Bossiness runs deep with this girl.

Doesn’t sound like it, unless they don’t fill all the seats then you’ll be their second choice.

I mean, they do have other ways of contacting their subscribers, right?

I'm sorry, but how stupid is this woman?

My favorite word lately has been 'idiot'. And I think this would be perfectly used right here.

Does anyone still follow her on IG? She's doing this epic weeks long organizational project of her space & closet AGAIN. Cracks me up how much time she spends moving die cuts from one side of the room to the other.

I wonder how many subscribers she has and out of those how many will sign up. Not everyone can afford to fly out to a pricy retreat. Also some listeners may only be interested in hearing the podcasts. So if she doesn’t get enough of her fans to buy in is she going to cancel? Wasn’t there something about a retreat she was going to cancel and not fully refund because of her PayPal fees? Either way it’s more money in her pocket.

Maybe she is struggling with an empty nest.

Does anyone know what happened to Tiffany? There's a post on FB in their group about making Tiffany's Christmas her best ever. The OP is asking for a 6x8 or 3x8 layout expressing what she means to each person (or a small gift or gift card). She said if anyone listened to this week's podcast that they would know why.
ETA: Nvm. Someone just said that her and her fella are no longer together and that her mom passed away years ago in Dec and that it's just generally a hard time for her.

It's hard enough to move on after a long term relationship ends but adding to already sad memories during that time will make it harder. It's sweet of them to want to show her some love and support. I've always appreciated Tiffany's sense of adventure. She seems like a strong and resilient woman.
