Thanks for sharing! I was planning to redo our master bath while DH and my boys are out of town visiting DH’s family. I’m not sure I will have the time now, but I love looking at inspiration. I definitely want to attempt to paint our cabinets and see how it goes.

I definitely want to attempt to paint our cabinets and see how it goes. I painted the cabinet in one afternoon. Chalk paint is so easy, dries fast and it very forgiving. No prep work except wash down to make sure it’s clean. Two coats of paint and don’t stress over brush strokes. Then sand out imperfections and distress to your preference. Two coats of polycrylic. It dries fast too cause it’s water based. I even made my own chalk paint from leftover wall paint I had used in another room. 1 cup flat paint, 4 T water, 4 T calcium carbonate (I ordered it from amazon). Mix and paint!😁

I love both versions!! As for carpet.. I have carpet as well.. I wouldn't do it again, but we never have had any of the issues that I hear about on here. I have throw rugs down that cover the main areas. We are very careful getting in and out of the tub, so there is no mold or icky build up. When the kids were little we always just threw towels down when taking a bath to cover any potential big splashes. Our toilet has ran over once or twice, but it was just water and we have a steam cleaner to get it quick. It does need to come up because it is just getting old but otherwise I guess we are clean bathroom people. There is a couple of stains from hair coloring and a tiny bit of nail polish... but for as old as it is.. that is pretty minor. We are clean bathroom people too. Never understood the ick factor that most people have.

I could not have carpet in my bathroom. It would get too yucky!
Nice room for your daughter to enjoy!

Never understood the ick factor that most people have. We have three daughters that share a bathroom, so no way we could have carpet. They are not clean bathroom people! I do love carpet (not a fan of hardwood), but not in our bathrooms. But we are messy carpet people too, our family room carpet is disgusting!
You did a great job! I thought the before pictures were after because both look so good! Thanks for sharing the pictures. I love makeovers. What a nice stand on the bathroom counter. Now I want to find something like that.
