I was so hoping to scrapbook last night. DH was at his monthly poker night. But, DD dropped by. Then my sister and her daughter came over. It was all great, but they didn't leave until almost 9. Maybe tonight! I haven't participated in challenges, since I am crazy busy this summer, but I am working on KikiPea scraplift challenge.

mikklynn grr how annoying! i'm sure you enjoyed spending time with your guests, but what inconvenient timing! hope you get some scrappy time tonight my extremely random thought for the day: because of the "which becky came first" thread, i was searching to find the LO i did for pagemaps; that led me down a rabbit hole for quite a long time, looking at all my old LOs from 2007 on (all my previous LOs burned up in a fire in december 2006). even with a baby in the house i scrapped over 100 pages a year back then, so it was great fun going down memory lane. anyway, i decided i really loved some of my old pages and copied some of them into a folder so i can scraplift myself. kind of excited to get started on it!

Wow stinkerbelle ! I decided to not only volunteer myself to work band camp next week, but to also make a Cookie for every band student. That’s 250 cookies. This morning I realized I have to get it done today and tomorrow because camp starts Monday. Oops. It’s only 10 batches of cookies...but seriously. What was I thinking? No scrapping for me for a week.

I haven't had much time to scrapbook this month. Only two pages, so far. My nieces came to visit this weekend and it has taken all my time! Im glad they are here, but geez. Im ready for some creative time. Right now, I have waiting for me: OLW for July, a mini album of Honduras & Belize, and a stack of photos from Montreal. Not sure what I want to do with those photos yet. Maybe a 3x8 mini album?
Decisions, decisions.

I have to do some gardening today and an afternoon 3 hour activity that was pre-planned, but other than that I'm FREEEEEEE! AND it's threatening to rain, so that will free me from any guilt

Yeah I love to share my baking because it gets me lots of praise and I don’t get many chances to do it because everyone wants store bought goods for the peanut allergic kid. Oh, yeah, that’s MY kid. So when they said it could be homemade I decided I wanted to make my special sugar cookies! Yay!

I've been slowly working on a few pages every day so I've been pleased about that. But I was trying to gather up my pictures that I took for WITL so long ago and looking at them I'm just not feeling it. Thinking about redoing my week starting on Monday.

I scrapped a two page layout from Easter 2017 and was thinking about how boring my style is. I watch videos and it’s all about clusters and layers and nestling and...well, most of the time that doesn’t work so well for me and doesn’t feel natural. So, I decided to be happy with my boring style! I used a bunny die cut from 2002 along with patterned paper from an old Slab from Michaels.

KelleeM , I have the same problem! My "clusters" look kinda like a huge pile-on of just stuff! For the life of me I can't seem to make them go-together like they're supposed to. I guess I should do like Shimelle and just do it! Put it on there and glue it down without pausing. I think I'm too critical of my cluster/layering. I do find that I like layering a piece of solid cardstock behind a piece of patterned paper, like a frame. It seems to pull it together and then I can do whatever I want to finish the layout. For me, less is more for my layouts. I used to have "sticker-sneeze" layouts when I first started scrapping.

So app 10 doughs have been made. 3 doughs have been rolled, cut, and baked. So 90 cookies done. Tomorrow is the rest. Technically I can work on them Monday night if I need to.
I never want to see another Cookie again.

KelleeM -I've embraced my boring style also. So jeremysgirl shared about a cardstock sale at Michaels so I ran out to pick some up and while we were gone, the power went out. 3 hours later it's back on so hopefully I can get some more layouts done

I love fresh fruits and vegetables. But I DON't love taking half my day to prepare them! Had to pick raspberries and dig potatoes today, as well as prep and cook some rhubarb dh brought home yesterday. Turned that into a rhubarb crisp that is in the oven right now.
Between that and a couple of calls from my dd this morning, I got NO scrapping done today. Well I did glue down a pic on some mats and attach it to some cardstock, but then I decided to trash that idea and started again with a pp background. By the time I got to that stage, my creativity had flown out the window. Hoping to finish it tomorrow or Monday.
My best scrapping time is early in the morning. If I don't get anything accomplished by noon, it is unlikely I will have any good ideas after that.

Yeah I told my husband that my daughter and I will always have this funny story to tell, “hey mom. Remember the year you decided to make 300 cookies in 2 days?” Yeah, good times.

I was careful to look at which colours had space for more before I left for the store, lol.

I had great expectations of myself for today, but I didn't even get dressed and slept most of the day. I have been going in to work extra early to earn time for my medical procedures and it's wearing me down, especially since my heart having abnormalities makes me get out of breath.
We have been bringing down bins and tubs of junk, mostly clothes. I sorted one large box of scrapbook stuff that came down, and by sorted I mean I went through it, tossed a little bit, put a little bit in a give away bag, and the rest basically went back into the bin again. I have no place to put it until the day comes when I organize my scrapbook room. That will be in 18 months when I retire.
I have to find the current photos and papers, etc to take to CKC this week. I will be stopping at a scrapbook store in Gettysburg, PA and cropping at a scrapbook store in Lititz, PA. I didn't do as much sewing this past month for extra spending money for the vendor floor, but I will pull it from somewhere. My son and his gf are having 3D ultrasound on Thursday evening and will hopefully call me with the sex of the baby. Either way I will buy all kinds of baby stuff! I already have a full iris bin, haha!

I've figured out why I feel like I'm treading water with the Legoland album - I have 10 page protectors of photos left but the one this morning turned into 3 layouts and the one I just pulled out will be 2...and I end up on the computer trying to figure out what the photos are OF - he took pictures of some of info signs which helps but...
I'm getting there though...

I had no such plan. I am a simple scrapper who usually does all her work from kits. I'm not much of a stash person. But I couldn't resist the pretty colors! Although...I did get white, black, and craft.

Although...I did get white, black, and craft. I'm a simple scrapper too but I rarely work from kits - kits almost always get broken up and added to stash. I use a LOT of cardstock and I hate when I need a shade and can't find the right one.

I found the WRMK page protectors for $38 on Amazon (Prime for 100). I also matched 40/50 sets of pictures with completed picture-less layouts. Now I need to get out the ATG and start filling these PP..

I really need to do some housework today. Just vacuuming and washing, changing the bed and maybe giving the bathrooms a swish over. It's my day off from exercising so no exercise bike today. Yesterday I did 40 minutes on it and then managed to go and walk around 6 holes of golf with OH and his Dad. It's not just a nice stroll either, neither of them can hit a ball straight so most of the time we're in the knee high rough, head down, looking for balls!
I have a LO on the go and am plugging away at that. Must go and run the vacuum over, the floors are a bloody disgrace!

I finally finished the album I’ve been working on of the trip my DH and I took last fall. It seemed to take much longer than it should have for some reason. But I am very happy with the way it turned out! Now on to the next one of the surprise birthday party my DD gave me a few months ago.
