OK, I don't agree with the outdoor cat thing and I don't get the problem with a few footprints. It's a car. Not as important as a living being. It is likely that her lifespan will be shorter as an outdoor cat. But at least the cat is having a life. There are hundred's of thousands of strays that don't have anyone anyone feeding them or providing them with any shelter or medical care. How many of you have taken such a thing on? I foster for a rescue and they would probably get 30-40 calls a week from people wanting to dump their cat on someone else.
But what's with the Staffordshire Bull Terrier not being recognised as a breed. I have 3 of them and they are staffy's. Of course they are a recognised breed. And guess what. I also have 16 cats (12 of them fosters). And you know what, it works fine. Next door's Jack Russell's are more trouble, barking at my window at my cats that the 3 staffy's. I hate to think what they would do if they got an opportunity.

we have the same problem but with raccoons one of our trucks stays out - too many vehicles not enough garage i think animals are just nosy - nothing we do deters those assholesthey walk around the porch too - we see footprints occassionally gina I figured out my baby pool halfway filled for my dogs was the watering hole of wayward animals (and we have a 6 foot fence). I have found several large poos on my cement under my deck this summer and I finally emptied the pool. The next morning, the empty pool had some nice teeth marks on the edges. Someone wasn't happy that their drink was empty. we have a pond in front of our house - it's like a watering hole in the serengeti!

I think the above is harsh and not always the case. My parents have feral cats that they feed but that live outside. They have been been around for 10 plus years and we live in the northeast. They live quite well. To the Op - have no advice. I am allergic to cats so there is that also.

I just took a pictures of my neighbors car with a squirrel sitting on the roof on it its back legs with its tail swishing on their windshield. He was there when I arrived home. I parked , went inside, went to the bathroom, got my camera, went back outside and took pictures. I went back inside and did some chores and kept checking on him...and there he sat for at least a half hour. it was crazy but I didn't want to shoo him off because I was afraid he would scratch their car. I think if we ever had an apocalypse the only thing that would survive are squirrels and raccoons.
