Every year my oldest DD and I make the hour long trip to Lancaster for CKC. We don't take any classes but we enjoy the shopping and seeing supplies IRL. We've been going since it was at Valley Forge and Lisa B was teaching. Every year I go broke! This year was no exception. Look at my haul! I got everything on my list but the new O Canada papers and the O Canada Christmas papers. They had them there earlier but they were all gone when I got there. I can't wait to play with my new goodies! Was anyone else there today? It was not too crowded, a few companies that were there last year were not there (Authentique, Totally Tiffany). They still had a good selection of stuff and I'm glad I went. The long Sizzix border die in the first photo was in the bag as a gift.

It was so nice to be able to see and feel things before buying. I so miss having a local scrapbook store.

Nice haul! TFS MDscrapaholic - how do you keep track of your shopping list and where to buy your items? I'm going to Scrapbook Expo next week and I always forget something or end up hunting around booth to booth.

You got some awesome stuff you deserve it! We have an event in Alberta coming up in September and every year I go a bit crazy. I think shopping/finding a deal and scrapping are 2 different hobbies LOL

Nice haul! TFS MDscrapaholic - how do you keep track of your shopping list and where to buy your items? I'm going to Scrapbook Expo next week and I always forget something or end up hunting around booth to booth. I just keep a written list on me and when I see it I buy it. The prices do vary a bit, but most are reasonable. I did pay $6 for one of the embossing folders and then saw it at another booth for $3. I just picked up a couple different ones for $3 and figured it all evens out lol. i don't have an LSS anymore so I usually have to shop online. I did see the smaller Tim Holtz stamp platform there at several booths but it was always $30 or higher. I didn't think that was a bargain so I didn't get it. I have the bigger one so don't really need the travel size but was willing to drop $20 bucks on it if I could find it at that price. Hunting around from one booth to the next is part of the fun! Have fun at Scrapbook Expo next week!

You have some great stuff to play with! It's nice to see that the CKCs are still going, I'm always a bit surprised that they're still around. I went to CKC Buffalo in 2006 and even though I went all alone I still had a great time. TFS!!

My friend and I were there Friday from 10 to 2 and today from 9 am to 5 pm. We only shopped. I took lots of breaks. I spent a ton at Echo Park, Nicole Peterson and Mudpuddles. Bought 6 bottles of Nuvo drops for $2 each because I thought the price of enamel dots was too high.
We went to Forever more scrapbooks in Gettysburg and Pages in Time in Lititz. I spent so much I have no idea what I spent. Will check when we go home tomorrow.
I took lots of breaks sitting in the chairs and over at the food area. I can't take the cement floors hour after hour.
Tomorrow I will try to post pics of some of my buys.

@myboysandme I'd love to see some pics of what you got! The Echo Park booth was packed when I was there and I just grabbed what I could. I saw those NuVo drops for $2 but didn't buy any because I couldn't remember what colors I had at home. Knowing myself I would buy the same colors.
It was crowded while I was there but not like years past. We thought a lot of people were in classes but it never got packed so bad you couldn't move.

Yes! Me too ! I went Friday and Saturday. It is a 3 1/2 hour drive for me from NJ. The best vendors for new stuff are Nicole Petersen and Mud Puddles. I got some newer Fourish, willow lane, Shimelle paper and things I was missing, a little Vicki Boutin that I could find. Also the Tim Holtz glass mat. Took some classes. I still miss the CK given classes since they we the best. The Friday night Stamplistic class 2 double page layouts Bo Bunny was surprisingly good! Nice class and very fun teacher. I would take it again next year. Took 2 quick Quotes classes, vacation and travel, pretty good, but teacher is a little all over the place with her instructions. The other class I took was Nicole Petersen Layout class which I always like a lot. Heard they are coming back to Lancaster next year which is great. I look forward to it every year since the early ones in Valley Forge. I haven’t missed one yet. Scrapbook expo is coming up aug 14 in Edison, NJ. I am taking one class. The expo has not had really good classes the last few years, mostly card classes which I am not interested in. People say the mega make and take is good, which I have never done. Not sure - if it s lot of tags and stuff that won’t go with anything, I wouldn’t like it. Those are the things that end up discarding after years of not using on layouts (for me anyway).

I also stopped at Pages in Time in Lititz. Shopped a little. She didn’t have a lot New. She carries a lot of Kaiserkraft.

I miss going to CKC. They stopped doing the one here in Portland, and the one in Seattle. I used to go to both.
I’m going to visit my mom in August, and I scheduled the visit around the Expo in Schaumburg! She lives in NW Indiana, so we are staying over at the hotel and will shop and crop both Saturday and Sunday!

Ours is in Denver at the end of September. It also happens to be the month that I get 5 paychecks instead of four. . I think I will volunteer early that week and go up on Friday. It is worth the extra cost to be able to shop with fewer people.
