Where in your house/condo/apartment/flat do you craft - home office on the main floor, kitchen/breakfast table, extra bedroom upstairs, open loft overlooking the great room, finished basement, or somewhere else? TIA.

I have a corner of the living room, there's a desk and a kallex 4x4 shelves and a million boxes underneath the desk. I'll spread out and work on the dining table (in the same room) for big projects like December Daily too but that's probably because I'm very messy and not very organised.

I currently have a small area on the bottom floor of our townhouse. There’s a hallway along side of the stairs that leads to the laundry/storage room. It’s wide enough for my jet max cubes. The hallway opens to an area about 6 by 6. My table is nestled under shelving dh installed on the wall. It works for now and keeps little fingers (2 1/2 year old granddaughter) away from my stuff. Next July my daughter and granddaughter should be moving and I’ll have the spare bedroom on the top floor.

I have an old kitchenette in our bedroom, it has great counter space and cabinets. Down the road we'll update it with new lighting and wood countertops that I want.

I have the spare bedroom upstairs. If we have a second child, I’ll move to either the loft upstairs or the guest room in the finished basement.

Basement It's a finished space, but no windows at all. And a little basement-y smelling. And the cat litter box lives down there... And the laundry room is right there calling me. First world problems. I have a house. I have scrapbook supplies. But someday I'll have a window!!!

My craft space is the room formerly known as the dining room. It became official last year and I love it!

In our current house, I'm in a loft area in our finished attic. DD15's room is up there too (she crafts with me), and there's a bathroom so we can clean our paintbrushes.
In our previous house, I was in a spare bedroom in the basement. Again, it was a finished space with access to a sink, but it was much smaller than what I have now.
In the house before that, I used the dining room table. Half my supplies were kept hidden in a closed bookcase, and the rest in another room of the house. That setup was fun though. It was ideal for inviting friends over to join me.

I have a small corner room in the downstairs family room, where the furnace is. We put up a wall to block the furnace noise but it doesn’t bother me. It only bothers me that the room is downstairs tucked away from everything. However, I am fortunate enough to have a dedicated space for all my crafting supplies so I am not complaining.

Upstairs in the old master bedroom with a view of the ocean out the window. I kinda get lost daydreaming some days instead of crafting LOL

Upstairs in the old master bedroom with a view of the ocean out the window. I kinda get lost daydreaming some days instead of crafting LOL Ha ha! That's why I don't move to the room in our house that overlooks the lake. I wouldn't get anything done. I save that room for reading and relaxing.

Mine used to be in the basement. It was a nice big room that I put stock cabinets from Menards in. Lot's of storage, but NO windows. So a couple of years ago, I moved my craft room to the office on the main floor (that we never used) that has 3 windows. I love it!! But I think we are moving soon, so who knows what I'll have next.

The breakfast room of my kitchen. The space is the perfect size, and it's just the 2 of us. We have a formal dining room and most of the time we eat in the family room so didn't need the space and didn't want to buy a kitchen table and chairs just to fill the space. It's perfect because it has a built in bakers rack and some cabinets which makes it nice for storage of craft supplies. And it has a beautiful picture window facing the east so it gets plenty of natural sunlight.

Open loft overlooking the ocean with a slight cool breeze flowing through my big 12x12 room which has a bathroom, sink, all the IKEA storage plus antique (that of course all comes together with my stellar decorating style)...
OH WAIT.. do you mean in REAL life??
I have one little corner in my family room that has some supplies and I can scrap there with family in same room.. my main space is in my bedroom (I do have a huge bedroom) and that is where the majority of my stuff is... I do have to go up and down a lot for projects.. BLAH...

7x7 room I had built into our basement remodel. 5x5 Kallax fits across one wall, I have a desk and 2 Raskog carts on the other wall and an Alex drawer unit that sits in between. Cozy but very functional. Sliding door opens to the family room and closes to contain the mess.

A small corner of the finished basement family room, wedged between the computer hutch and the bathroom door. I stamp in the next room standing at my chest freezer and have a large rolling metal rack that I store all stamping/mixed media items on. It's actually an ok setup because I am right next to the slop sink and washer. I stamp while I wait for the next load to be done. Talk about multi tasking!

Spare bedroom. The window overlooks our backyard and a small valley. I spend a lot of time watching birds, bunnies and deer.

Used to be in our teeny tiny 3rd bedroom (that lost a ton of room for stairs up to the attic). Heat, but no AC. I couldn’t craft in the summer and didn’t like being so isolated. Also the room was so small that I couldn’t find anything. I had to pull out tons of supplies to find things stored under others.
Now I’m on the main floor next to the living room in our “sunroom” which used to be the side porch. I have a powder room attached which is good for crafting. The room is very long and narrow maybe 10’ x 22’ but holds everything I need it to. My IKEA Alex drawers have been the most amazing purchase. I can see what I have to use it. I like being near DH when he is watching TV in the living room. We can still talk.
