I know some of you hate any type of cologne or perfume - so this is not the thread for you But... I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a nice men's cologne for my son. He is in his early 20's. He is college student and a world traveler (if that matters). He most definitely likes high end designers He is also a down home country boy, so that is quite a combination... Anyway... is there some great scent that you guys would recommend? Something not over-powering. He really doesn't wear cologne as a rule, but I know he will use just a dab sometimes when he goes out. Mostly samples! LOL I get my girls fun things to send them, but it is hard to send fun stuff to a boy. I have sent them Scentbird perfumes and they love getting them, and I can also do Scentbird with men's cologne - so what would be some fun scents to look at?

My DH wears Cody's White Musk for Men which I buy online. It isn't high end but I love the scent as it isn't overpowering.

Scentbird has a great selection of men's fragrances. Also you could go to Sephora and ask what's popular among guys his age. Or a department store with a big mens fragrance department and ask for a suggestion.
There is as much variety in mens fragrances as womens. It's hard to pin down one good suggestion.
An idea... Sephora sells sampler boxes with sample vials of several fragrances and a voucher for a full size bottle. Great for gifts. That way a recipient can choose which one they like best.

My 28 year old son loves Curve and my DH loves Versace (The Dreamer). They both smell yummy!

Another firm vote for Aqua di Gio my Son wears it and it is gorgeous. I have heard that my all time favourite Aramis is making a comeback.

Of course in my day all the guys wore English Leather. My parents gave my high school boyfriend English Leather Soap-on-a-Rope for graduation so he could use it at college. His thank-you note was hilarious *Thank you so much, I know I will make it work really good* or something like that.

DS20 mostly wears Acqua di Gio and Polo Blue. Both have a very clean scent.

I always buy DH scents with bergamot in them. My favorites keep getting discontinued though, so I don't have a specific recommendation.

My husband and I share a bottle of that one. It's got a following among women who love heavier spicy-woody fragrances.

Some guys wore British Sterling and Canoe. The Sephora Samplers are a very smart idea.
