So far I'm disappointed. I'm so used to loving their fall kits. I didn't get the sunflower/pumpkin set last year because the resulting images were very muddled (I think it's because the DT tried to stick with the kit inks instead of branching out and using others) so I really wanted to love the one from this year. If the rest of the kit is like this, I will definitely not be purchasing it.

I feel like there's been a lot of the fancy cut out die from them lately. Nothing from the sneaks so far look exciting

I feel like there's been a lot of the fancy cut out die from them lately. Nothing from the sneaks so far look exciting Agreed. It eats too much value of the kit so you don't get as much of the fun consumables you used to get. I think it is okay once in a while but it has left me wanting more product in recent months because they have been in every kit.

I quite like the fancy oval cutout die - probably because I don't have anything like it. As far as consumables are concerned, the only think I've seen mentioned is Daniel Smith watercolour dot card. Need to think about this more.

I like what I have seen. I was hoping it would be a fall themed kit. I like their fancy oval dies.

I do like the ink colours.

The colors in the first sneak are watercolor dots that come with the kit. The second one, the fancy die leaves, is Glimmer Metallic Inks that were released in their Season of Wonder Catalog. The third, two existing liquid watercolors, and and new one released this time as an add-on. So not sure what actual ink colors will come with.

Sneak #4 One that lights up with Chibitronics when you press the vase. From the blog post: For today's card, we had a ton of fun combining the September My Monthly Hero kit with a cool product that you can find at many retailers - Chibitronics! The Chibitronics paper circuit pieces are not included in this month's kit, but since the theme of the kit is the lantern plant, we were inspired to use it!

I'm probably in the minority- but I love the look of the flowering stem and vase. Will probably be a buy for me, unless there is nothing else exciting.

I like the stamp but that’s about it. I have a very similar die so that’s not exciting me.

I'm not excited about this release like I have been for others. I'm hopeful there will be more to this kit to love than the sneaks. That may be because the same stamps were used for almost all of the sneaks. I'll check it out for sure.

I am highly underwhelmed.
ETA: And also annoyed. A sample of 6 Daniel Smith watercolors, but 5 mini watercolor brushes. Really?!

And those leaf notes which just seem like a throw away item.

Throw away sticky notes-yes. The kit used to have a variety of things, specialty papers, etc. As they expand numbers of kits produced, quality seems to be going down. This one does not even come with ink. And how much use can you get from the watercolor dot card? Not snark, really curious. I have never used one, but looks like it would not go very far.

I don't feel like plants/succulents is at all fall related. I think my biggest gripe (and probably where my irritation is rooted) is that this kit misses the mark seasonally as fall products are usually so appealing to me...I really wanted to want to buy this kit. I feel like making it plants with a few fall looking leaves is a total cop out. It's a huge letdown. The one from 2 years ago (that they went back to a 4x6 stamp for before the next month of 6x8 and I think every kit since has had 6x8 stamps) was lovely and every year I look forward to something to live up to that kit. Last year's missed the mark for me, but I still liked it. This one is not even on the radar compared to the last 2 years. I'm also bitter because I know next month starts Christmas themes since it's a bigger season/holiday to make cards for, it gets 2 months and fall only gets 1.
I also think at the very minimum these kits should come with some basics like a few sheets of cardstock. For a while, they were forcing SSS to up their game (one summer kit came with a 6x8 stamp and a 3x4 one from SSS...it was such a good value that I wish I had actually liked it because I would have bought it without a second thought) and now it's almost like they're agreeing to stop competing so hard and both scaling back. Their popularity has gone to their heads and all they see is dollar signs...forget providing a cohesive kit for a good value, let's just do a stamp and die set.

Totally agree with everything you said. Seemed some kind of asian or oriental theme more than fall when you consider some of the add ons. And that leaf sticky note addition feels Studio Calico-ish. Crap filler. Odd to me, too, that a lot of the design team used the Chibitronics. SaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSave

I’m probably in the minority but like both the set and the add-ons. Can see using some elements at other times of year as well. The aesthetic is more interesting and it’s not overly “cute.” And a dot card with new and unusual colors to try. Sure I’d like some cardstock or speciality paper, but it is an opportunity to use things in my stash.

I like any of the other stamp and die sets more than the one in the kit. Lots of interesting possibilities. Still, a pass for me this time.

And how much use can you get from the watercolor dot card? Not snark, really curious. I have never used one, but looks like it would not go very far. From what I've seen online (because I've yet to use my dots from another kit) the watercolor will actually go pretty far - much more than you might think from the tiny dots. It's very concentrated pigment. I've seen some YouTubers use them and it looks like a great way to buy good quality watercolors. I think those little cards can be bought for $3-5 (?) from art shops like Dick Blick. The kit doesn't speak to me. The stamp is quite pretty, but overall there's not much to wow me. I don't care for the fancy die - I love the one I got a few months back, but this one doesn't appeal.
