Hi Everyone! Did anyone else attend this event? It was a great weekend! Lots of friendly crafters, wonderful SG In-house store, and so much food I won't need to eat for a month! Wandering around the ballroom, I saw so many beautiful projects. I kept wondering if any of you were there.

I don't live anywhere near Springfield, but I just watched Coliebing's prep video and vlog about it on youtube... it sounds like it was a really fun time!! She posted a bit of video from the store, and also from the on-site store-- she said there were something like 300 people there?!? wow!! It might be a bucket-list thing for me someday, but I'm not sure I could pare down my stuff enough to ever travel to a crop via plane, lol. (and I'm afraid I'd probably shop enough to need a second suitcase!)
did you get a lot done? and did you go by yourself, or with a group?

did you get a lot done? and did you go by yourself, or with a group? I went with a great friend. I probably couldn't ever pare down to fly, either. We drove the 13 hours there with the back end of my SUV 3/4 full. It was 100% full on the way back! I did get quite a bit done (for me). I like to spend my time shopping rather than crafting. LOL If you can make it some year, do go. It was fun! I've been to quite a few events (Creative Escape, Inspired, etc) but this was, by far, the friendliest group of ladies. If you do, I hope I'm there. I'd love to meet you!

I saw bingaling's prep and vlog videos, too. It looked so fun! I'd love to go to an event like that someday.

I went! I drove up with my mom and a friend from Dallas. I was with the large group back in the corner! I have attended SG crops before - maybe 4? - and THIS WAS AMAZING!! I loved every bit of it. In fact, I am staring at my large pile of goodies to put away right now...need to get finished unpacking!!

I went. It was a good time. The on-site store was excellent and the food was good (when you could get some -- they were always running out of stuff).

I wasn't aware we ran out of any food items at the meals. When you feed 300 people it does take a few minutes for them to replenish items from the kitchen. I was always the last person through the line and never once didn't get some of everything, and saw that there was still more than enough to feed several dozen more people.

I was there and had a great time! I got a lot done and was with a group of 7. I met so many nice people and had a blast shopping. The whole event was really well organized and I look forward to attending again in the future.

I was there! It was my first crop and it blew me away. First Class all the way. I took 7 classes. Allison is so wonderful.
I was with the large group in the corner. We had 40 something people there. Nicole B/ Coliebing is a part of our group. She’s just as nice in person as you’d expect. I loved meeting her and the rest of our group, the SG family and all of the strangers. Everyone was so kind, not one cranky person.
I had the best time and I’m going to the next one. I can’t wait!

wow; tripletmom, for your very first crop experience, you really went all out! It sounds like you had a great crop experience. The large size (300 people?) sounds kind of intimidating to me-- because I've seen some crops where they try to squeeze way too many people into the space-- but it sounds like SG did it all up first-class, with the classes, meals, people plenty of room to work, etc. That's one of my major concerns-- because I take 3/4 of my craft room, of course... lol!

Even with 300 people it never felt crowded. The ballroom we were in was huge! And I was impressed with home much people brought it from home so would be among a lot of other croppers bringing a bunch of stuff.

We wanted to live up to our “luxury” crop name! Everyone had an 8-foot table, and we had aisles of 6-feet. I hate crops where people bump into your chair when they walk past, so we wanted everyone to have a spacious area to work/play in. We could have had a few more rows of tables, but instead, wanted to provide a comfortable atmosphere.

No way I could go but I got to see M again and meet J before they headed up there! I never expected to meet J since she lives so far away. Again, I'm so happy you were able to go and meet so many of our group AND that you had such a wonderful time!

So jealous, I live on the west coast so it is a bit far to travel fir a crop, but it sounds amazing! I was lucky enough to visit the store once and it was amazing, the ladies were so helpful and kind and of course the store was delightfully packed with goodies.

I went. It was a good time. The on-site store was excellent and the food was good (when you could get some -- they were always running out of stuff). I wanted to say that I thought the food was beyond good - I thought it was excellent! I was amazed that each meal had two entree choices, and 3-4 side dishes alongside a salad, a bread, and a dessert. I thought the hotel catering staff did an amazing job at replenishing the food. I mean, a warming tray can only hold so much, right? I was so thankful for their hard work and it was wonderful to walk right outside our tables, be served a delicious, hot meal, and not have to worry about it, or the dishes! It's really the first even I've been to where I've loved every meal. And tripletmom, I thought I was your girl crush. Now I'm devastated! JK. After all, I'm not the YT celeb that Bing is!

I went and had a great time. I went with two other friends and we drove from St. Louis. The tables were huge and we did not feel crowded at all. The on-site store had everything you could possible ask for and more! I use their sketches almost exclusively and was able to finish up 52 pages for the weekend. They aren't anything fancy, but they were cute for me and I'm glad they are finished. It took me over 3 hours to unpack and settle back in at home.

Scrapbook Generation and @rush2scrap , this was on my wish list, so glad to hear everyone had a great time. I see the Sep 13-15, 2019 date on the website. Just wondering when registration will open? And the rumor out there is that it is already sold out!?!

I'm not Debbie, but she shared with the 2018 attendees in a 2018 event wrap-up note that they will begin sharing 2019 details in November and that registration will open for 2019 in January. It's not sold out. No one is even registered for 2019 yet.

That’s correct info! Registration will be in January again. We sold out in 12 minutes for the first ever We Create. Not sure we can ever beat that! Wish we had room for more than 300...we had a waiting list of over 100.
And I agree about the food. I’ve eaten my share of hotel convention type meals, and these meals were not anything like that. We were so pleased with the quality!

Not sure if I can swing it in 2019, but I'd like to keep up on what's going on in case things change.
