The title says it all: How do you store your paper punches? I love my paper punches. But I really don't have a system for storing AND then being able to finding the one I want when I need it. (Apparently throwing them randomly in a box is clearly not a good system. Ha.) I looked on Pinterest, but all I found was systems for storing a single brand and size of punch. I have a mixture of punches from Creative Memories, ek Tools, Martha Stewart, Marvy Uchida, McGill, Recollections, Stampin' UP and a few others. My punches are many various sizes, further complicating possible storage options. Does anyone have a storage systems that you like? As I said, I love my punches, so getting rid of them is not an option. TIA

I have mine in a desk drawer. I label all the sides with what shape it is so no matter how I have it positioned in the drawer, I can easily find what I’m looking for.

I make a punch out of each punch and store that punch out in a small notebook that I can just flip through. Then the punches go into a basket. I don't have a million of them, so its easy to find the punch I need after deciding on the shape/size I want using my book.

I don’t have a good system for storage either. They’re jumbled together in a couple of drawers.

I use 12 x 12 Iris cases. They’re kept in a single layer in the case so I can slide out the case and easily find the one I want. I have cases for circles, stars/other geometric shapes, squares/ovals, nature (flowers, leaves,etc.).

Mine are currently in a big rubbermaid tub. But I am transitioning to a 6 drawer cart. I hope to organize by theme/type.

I have a set of Helmer drawers from Ikea I use 4 drawers for my punches -circles/squares/tagsand labels/other random shapes There’s about 8 -10 punches per drawer depending on size The drawers are quite shallow so the punches sit in a single layer and are easy to find i have never liked the look of the hanging rods and I don’t have enough wallspace anyway

I don't have very many. They all fit in 2 drawers of a Sterilite 3 drawer unit.

I have cases for circles, stars/other geometric shapes, squares/ovals, nature (flowers, leaves,etc.). This is how mine are stored too. I made labels for the front with a general list of what’s in each case. I had two cases but have to start a third one as I’ve bought a few more punches recently.

I store mine in over the door shoe organizers. The pockets are clear, the punches are easy to get to, and it’s an affordable storage solution. I don’t have issues with the weight of the punches. I store one punch to a pocket. I have a closet door and main door, so I have a total of 4 organizers, and it was less than $25 to buy them on Amazon.

I have several ways. I also have a ton of punches in the brown baskets you can kind of see on the shelves next to the punches on the wall.

I have a relatively modest collection of paper punches, which are stored in the lower drawer of my (long-ago discontinued PB Bryce) Project Table. Best wishes finding your ideal storage solution!

I have 2 of the punch organizers that hang over the back of a door. They hold about 30 punches and are in individual clear pockets. Border punches are in a drawer. However, I haven’t had a door in my studio in the past two houses, so I may just get rid of them. I really don’t use punches much anymore.

In a 12x12 Artbin container. I keep the tabs punch on my desk though.

Thanks for the ideas.
My craft room has 2 door openings with no doors ( i’m not sure what the previous owners used this room for exactly. It had built in desks with drawers with bookcases over the top, so at least I have some storage.)
I might try using the flat plastic storage cases I bought on sale at Michaels awhile ago. I could also clear out the one Recollections storage unit I have that has drawers. Part of what I’m struggling with is the fact that no matter what I put them in they are very heavy!

I don’t have too many since I’ve replaced them with dies over the years. What I do have are stored in a couple of IKEA boxes that are about 2” high. I’m another one who catalogue things so I keep the images in a binder with my die images. don those cards in your gallery are really nice. I especially like the one with the woman in the Kimono.

I have a very modest collection. They all fit in one drawer of my Alex unit. I like that I can see everything at a glance.

So last night I sat down on the floor and put all of my punches in three Isis type 12 x 12 clear plastic boxes I had purchased awhile back.
I really like how they are all a single layer and I can see what I have. However, the only place I had to put the boxes was back on the shelf where the bins I was using were previously. This means I have to raise each bin slightly above shoulder height. Wow are punches heavy!
I plan on labeling each box and I do have a binder with punch samples. I’m going to try out this system for a little while. I am a little concerned that between the weight of the punches and the height I had to put them at is going to be less than convenient.
I might end up emptying out the one cart I have that has drawers. I think there might be some craft room rearranging in my near future!
