Good morning everyone and here's today's sketch! I loved this sketch when I saw it cause I loved the possibilities for it. For my example (which I did last month and took points in August for) I dug out some old Hambly for the circles in the background and also got free and easy with the Nuvos As usual, my twist is USE SOMETHING OLD! It doesn't have to be actually old, just something that's oldish to you, something that's been hanging around on your desk for ages, waiting for the right project to go on, something you've been meaning to use for ages, or if you've been scrapping for ages, something that is genuinely old! I used those super old Studio Calico number stickers that I loved so much and bought about 6 sheets of them in a sale, the 'you are my' spinner from K&Co which I think I bought at Michaels or JoAnns in 2008 or 09 and the Hambly overlays are old too (the turquoise chevron is an overlay too). Happy scrapping everyone!

And because I took points last month for my example (dumb, dumb, dumb!) I had to make another to claim the points this month and get the bonus for doing all the sketches + twists! So this one I used Nuvos to do my circles. Doing wobbly circles is easier than I expected and I loved how they came out. My old things are again, the Hambly and the ywllow arrow is from a pack of K&Co layered chipboard as well, I found them when finding the spinner above and put them on my desk to be used. I used the others on the Wimbledon LO the other day! Scoring 14 for this one. 1 for a LO, 1 for sharing, 5 for sketch + twist, #9, #12, #15, #17, #18, #31 and Sept Stash Challenge - pre-made title.

This is my take on the sketch. I used the "Only The Beginning" kit by Kimeric Kreations. This page commemorates a very sad day in my life..... when 13yo DS finally grew taller than me!

kiwigirl, great sketch and layouts. AussieMeg, you are quick. Love this page. Not just the colors, elements (that tape measure) and the photo (the sad face cracked me up, never thought to do this when ds became taller than me), but I love the topic!

Awesome sketch, kiwigirl! And your takes on it are wonderful. Isn't it fun to just use that Nuvo bottle as a pen and just start writing/drawing with it??? Love the two different colour combos: both are delicious! Love all the layering and how you used the circle inspiration, AussieMeg. Great colours, too. That tilted photo with him even TALLER is really cute, and I love the arrows leading into the feature photo. That tape measure is PERFECT! Your pp circles are the perfect background for your story, msliz. Love how it all pops off that muted background. And what paper IS that in the background? I can see that doing a lot of laps on my pages!

AussieMeg - love it! that tape measure is perfect and the colours are lovely together! My DS is taller than me also (by 6.5") but I'll never be the shortest because I have an inch on DH, lol. I'm not 100% happy with mine but...it's done and in the album and my scan is crooked, sigh. Claiming the bonus since those circles are all from OLD papers

kiwigirl , you keep tempting me to try new things - now I have to draw with my nuvos?! It looks so great on your pages, but it makes me so nervous. I have to keep telling myself "it's only paper, it's only paper..." AussieMeg , great page - and a nice color inspiration from your shirt! I love how you included the tape measure on the page. My youngest, DD15, was wearing boots with heels the other day, and she made a point of stretching as tall as she could when she stood next to me. She's only taller than me in the heels, but she'll outgrow me for real very soon. Very annoying. grammadee , it's Pinkfresh "Life Noted" from 2015 or 2016. I picked a pack up on clearance earlier this year. Linda, we had the same idea with the punched circles. It's a great way to use up scraps, isn't it? KelleeM , that's one super cool layout - I really like all the gold foil

stinkerbelle - the gold on black looks amazing - you were able to use all that metallic stuff and didn't let it overpower your photos. Really great page, and the photos are cute too!

This is my version of Sketch #16. For something old, my papers are from 2014 and the twine is ancient. I had to get it from my husband's tools in the basement. Snip Snip

When I first saw this sketch I got an image of a snowman holding up a sign with a greeting. Don't have my winter/Christmas stuff out yet, but couldn't get that card image out of my head, so here is a birthday card based on the image. foiled birthday card by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I am totally taking 5 points for this challenge, b/c that cs base goes WAAAAY back to Creative Memories days! Will add up the rest of the points when I post on the share thread.

I adore this sketch, and meant to stick closer to it. But I found this old circles background I created for a class with texture paste (ie. check that challenge off the list!) and started there, and then decided to use my photos where the sketch suggested it's circles... and it turned into this. layout awenda good company by kirstendrew, on Flickr

another go at this sketch since I'm working in a completely different album now - decided to go mono-chromatic this time - claiming the twist for those ancient sticker letters...I'm not positive but I think they were Creative Imaginations...

Linda love the Halloween 75 page. The fun papers work very well with the older photo and I love how you covered the background with circles. the egret page is a great second take on the sketch! congrats on a fun monochromatic page love that you included journaling from your family! KelleeM your page is super cool! Love all the fun little bits and how you extended the circles detail from the sketch. Love that cute photo AussieMeg what a fun thing to document! Love the silly photos and the tape measure detail is just genius! kiwigirl love the sketch and certainly love what you did with it. In your example from august, I love the hambly for the circle element. I have a scrap of that same transparency in hot pink and wanted to use it but couldn’t find it anywhere. I love how you added the nuvos and the strip of numbers along the photo. The rainbow stripe paper is perfect! Your September example is so cool with the nuvo circles. I wish I had your creative mind love the small title and contrasting nuvo border!
