Happy Monday to all! Yeah, totally not my favourite either. But a fresh sketch will help us on our fresh start to the week, right? What I really liked about this sketch was the vertical strips of pp - I am NOT great about using anything other than "blocks" of paper on my layout and hoped that this one would help me break free of that rut. Layout 1 by kirstendrew, on Flickr layout tiny tilda by kirstendrew, on Flickr My twist is again stitching - I did a tonne of stitching on my layout strips - but you can also do pen or digital stitching, or hand stitching or 3 buttons!

Lush LO kitbop! I almost made a challenge this month to use strips cause I have so many of them sitting on my desk! I love the colours on yours and the swirls, I am always a sucker for a good swirl and yours rock!

ok -so this came together faster and easier than I expected. I simplified it a bit since I didn't have photos or journalling but I like how it turned out. And I even stitched!! Butterflies are fussy-cut from paper - I'm not very good at fussy-cutting. It's the title page for the 2005 family album.

That looks really pretty, Linda. And good on you to be working on those albums from 'way back then" Here is my take on this sketch, and I paired it with my take on Sketch #8. Because I usually do two pagers, I like to see how I can match up different one page sketches to work together. So I am claiming 10 points for these two pages when I add up the points in the sharing thread. scarecrow festival '18 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr You will be seeing this a lot as I will also be sharing in the #8 thread and the sharing thread.

That looks really pretty, Linda . And good on you to be working on those albums from 'way back then" Thank you grammadee - I'm actually scanning the layouts from 2005...I 'thought' they were all done but I didn't have a title page (so I claimed that as a UFO) and I came across another un-scrapped photo in the middle of February which I've also scrapped now. One nice thing about this scanning project is I'm managing to fill in those missing spots.
Your layouts are lovely -great idea to combine the two one-page sketches - I love that button border

linda - funny - I actually thought of you when I picked this sketch because I envisioned you using strips but squaring the pictures up... and your title page looks awesome but you kept the "tip"!!! grammadee - again, awesome vision to combine the sketches! Looks great.

This reminds me of Mork's rainbow suspenders and pins (from "Mork and Mindy". Yes, I'm old). I wonder if I have any photos of myself in my Mork suspenders from when I was a kid. If so, I am definitely using this sketch!

Here's mine, I did it yesterday but trying to photograph it after 6.30, there wasn't enough light (I hate autumn). Not that there's that much light this morning, it's grim outside! Taking 24 for this one. 1 for a LO, 1 for sharing, 5 for sketch + twist (rub-on stitching cause I'm lazy), #3, #4, #7,#9, #12, #15, #17, #21, #22, #31, #33, #40 + BONUS, #42, #44, #49 and Sept Stash Challenge - handwriting & washi tape.

This is my take on the sketch. I'm not entirely happy with it, I think it would be better with portrait photos. I must have changed it about a hundred times. But oh well..... I used the 'Art Deco Party' kit by Lindsay Jane.

Like how your blues pop against the black background, kiwigirl, and LOVE your title The hits of yellow add the perfect punch. Welcome to the board, mmagain! Love that page! The torn frames and the tape just add to the fun of the snapchat photos. AussieMeg, you may not like your page, but I LOVE it!!! Love all the different gold textures and how you used the swirls to break up the vertical lines. Great use of the stars, too, from muted in the background to up front and centre with that 3-D one in front. Awesome!

I'm so sorry mmagain I totally missed commenting on your LO this morning (it was early), I didn't mean to! I love it, great colours, I love the stripes and the ghost and the journalling strips it all looks wonderful! AussieMeg I think your LO looks great but I totally get when you're not quite happy with it yourself, it seems to be happening to me a lot lately! I love it though, the lush golds, the swirls and the celebrate word looks amazing!

Linda, maybe it's just my phone, but I can't see your second one (ETA I can see it now) Beautiful colors on both of yours! KelleeM, the sketch looks great with your 3 photos. I love that child's cutie little face! The kitty embellishments are super cute too stinkerbelle, what's the size of your 30 days of Thankful? Is that a small page size or a giant leaf? I'm loving the touches of gold. AussieMeg, I'm loving the gold and glitter on yours too. It looks awesome with the black! kiwigirl, so funny! The big mixed alphas and your huge smile really bring this one to life! mmagain, for a first try with photoshop, I think you hit it out of the park with all those great textures! grammadee, the textures on yours are crazy awesome too, especially the twine with the buttons

Linda I love the colours and patterns in your title page. It's the perfect design for this type of page. The thistle photo is beautiful and I love how you paired with all the shades of purple. kiwigirl the title makes me laugh! Love the mix of washi, paper, and nuvos in your strips. KelleeM this is gorgeous! All the cat themed supplies are perfect for this story and I love the hand drawn stitching. I think I've left some love for all the other pages in the gallery.

I knew I wanted to stretch the background stripes out further and the messy horizontal stitching on my stars just seemed to fit this page better.

@chinagirl - whoa, love all the textures of the papers and how well they look together with the single multi-colour strip! And the stars are so strategically placed, not crowding the photo - looks awesome! KelleeM - soooo sweet, I have a kitty-cat girl as well and I've been eyeing this pp. I love that she looks like you , the way to sorted the patterns in the strips, and the cat embellies. AussieMeg - this is exactly the look that I had in my brain when I chose this sketch, so elegant, love the gold, beautifully embellished. linda - love the monochromatic - that's a challenge I have been meaning to address but it's not my forte!!! stinkerbelle - love this layout so much, the big leaf, the stitching, the glitter, it's all perfect (think I left love on the other thread already but I love it this much I'll tell you again )
